I think your right, +4 is very large for 800x600. You could try adding this line to see if it helps: MenuFontSameSize=true If that doesn't help, you may have to use a smaller font
Hi katuuz, to change the font size you need to change the value of this line in the theme.ini: FontSize=-2 Looking at the 'Menu=' line of the theme.ini may help you solve the menu problem, try using values from a different theme to see if changes can be made that way. p.s. i would have tried to help sooner, but i have been away for the last week
Rmvb files are generally used because the file size vs quality ratio is pretty good. An 150mb avi episode can be shrunk to a 50mb rmvb file & still look good. I encode all my dvd's to 700mb rmvb files, i think the quality is better than avi.
Add this line to the 'theme.ini', it may fix your error, as it reduces the size needed for the menu area. MenuFontSameSize=true If it still doesnt work, then keep on playing with the dimensions, you could maybe copy the dimensions from another theme, look at this line for the dimensions: Menu=???,???,???,???
Not an entry: Here's my take on GameEx after a few spiritualistic pints, and a lot of typos The beauty of Gameex is that it atcs as a multi-functional interface for forms of media which microsoft have overlooked. GameEx has taken the best functions from the media center experience, and provided a platform for people to merge entertainment and media in a new way.
Hi gargoyle it's been a while since i had to get screenshots, but the brackets shouldn't matter. Are the images in a zip or rar file? If so you might have to extract them in order for them to show up. (i could be wrong)
This is a very common problem. You may need to change the "show desktop" setting to yes. GameEx Config (Emulator settings - Show Desktop= Yes) Also check that pj64 launches games in fullscreen when a rom is loaded. PJ64 (Options - Settings - Options - "On loading aROM go to Fullscreen)
I'll see what i can do, i wasn't able to do it before, (the menu/database area used to cause errors, like scurvy experienced) but since a few more options have become available since the theme was made, it might work now. [EDIT] Sorry guys, its not possible to convert the theme to 680 x 480. I've tried for the last hour or so, and i cant get the layout to work, in fact, i cant even get the menu/database at the bottom of the screen without errors!
Good to know, i was wondering what it could be! I think the line that fixed it was: MenuFontSameSize=true This reduces the size of the area needed for the menu/database box.
I've tested the theme at its native 1024x768 and also 800x600 resolution (different theme.ini), it's worked in both cases, so im not sure where the problem is. Are you trying to run the theme at a lower resolution than these, like Stu? If so that's the problem, the theme can only be run at 1024x768 or 800x600 depending on the theme.ini used. Here's a couple of suggestions which might get it working: 1. If you are running the 800 x 600 make sure you've followed the instructions in the '800 x 600 Resolution' folder. 2. try adding these lines to the theme.ini before the [Taskbar] section GradientTitleFont=false LowerCaseTitleFont=false MenuFontSameSize=true any good?
You can set it up as an emulator. I posted a config here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?s=...ost&p=15523 its pretty useful for unsupported formats like rmvb, you can also use shortcuts of movies in media player classic.
Hi Scurvy, you can add a video using two methods. 1. Open the theme.ini and add the following: StartupVideo=C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Theme Name\Intro Movie or you can select a movie, or a directory using the config application: 1.Open the GameEx Configuration window, select 'Multimedia/HTPC' 2.Now locate the 'Intro Movie' or video directory folder from the 'Startup Video/Dir' 3.Make sure that Yes is selected in the 'Videos/Movies' box. Thats it Personally i prefer the first method, because the right movie will play for each theme.
Thanks Adultery, I might struggle with the html coding. Im using dreamweaver, at the moment i have made everything using the design layout view...i havent touched the coding yet! Even the basic seem quite complicated, like making borders with rounded corners around text: http://www.allwebdesignresources.com/webde...contentbox.html Here's a question for you...why are most webpages made up of .gifs? Whats the advantage over jpg or png?
