  1. As an Ipac user, I'm thinking of making alt one of the shifted keys. This way the only to use alt will be to physically hold down another key that you chose as shift while pressing it. This way its still available and will not interrupt normal usage Hopefully this will fix my issue, and maybe other users
  2. Possibly but the thing that makes me think otherwise is that the sound also cuts out, and the monitor goes into standbye mode. Also cntrl-alt-delete or another alt-tab doesn't bring it back. I have to hardboot the thing. I'll keep testing. -Matt
  3. Update: I have had gameex running for over 8 hours now while I was at work, no problems. The only difference this time is I did not have LAN cable connected and no ipac control panel connected, just standard keyboard. Maybe we should get a tally of how many people with this issue have an ipac? -Matt
  4. I also thought it was just mame in gameex, but i noticed it also happen when browsing through my rom list. As of now I also updated my video drivers, sound drivers, and chipset drivers. Still same problem
  5. and infringe on many big dogs. However Tom is creatively adding the emulators into the setup wizard with default install paths and command tags. Tom is leading the way to a new emulation standard! Hoorah!
  6. Vote: Browsing music in Jukebox by folder/directory +5million Dream Idea: All emulators/roms/snaps/samples are synched from an online database
  7. I'm having a very similar problem, began ~ 2-3 weeks ago. Sorry Tom I'm not sure if it was right after an update.. Here's what mine does: A) After a random span of time, could be 2 minutes or 2 hours, my crt monitor trips to standby mode. (I have set windows power options to always on, never shut off monitor/disks/etc) B ) All sound is off, almost as if the power on the pc has been shut down. PC drives and fans are still spinning but no access, cannot ctrl-alt-del, alt-tab, alt-f4, ctrl-x (matrix spoof lol), or anything. C) Need to restart pc to bring it back to life, and unfortunately no logs are up todate becuase it was hard-booted. I've also disabled windows screensaver, however not the attract screensaver because im constantly manuvering around gameex. I've replaced video card, ram, and even reinstalled windows (yes, lol) . This doesn't just happen to me while playing games in gameex, also around the gameex menu's it will do this to me. -Matt
  8. Almost sounds like explorer.exe is on top of gameex. I would do a bit of testing. Open notepad, jam on your cp keys to make sure that you're getting entries, then open gameex and begin jamming on your keys again. You'll know that its working when you exit gameex. For this to work you might have to do one of two things: 1) Keyboard method: Immediately after launching gameex, quickly alt-tab back to Notepad before you see the gameex loading page. Now notepad is on top, not gameex shortcut. 2) Mouse method: Just after double-clicking/launching gameex, click on notepad before you see the gameex loading page. Now notepad is on top, not gameex shortcut. When you exit gameex, look to see if your notepad is full of new keys. Good luck!
  9. I hope this topic is concluded. Can we go back to enjoying gameex now please?

  13. Just hit 'Delete' on your keyboard to remove the roms you don't want on the list.
  14. Interesting, thanks for that I'll give it a shot.
  15. thanks emph and nullus. I do happen to have custom controls enabled in input, and I have already reconfigured up/down etc... Bummer we can't add!
  16. I'm trying to map pushbuttons on a homebuilt control pad, this is how I understand how to do it: 1) From scancodes.txt you find the function (ex: VolumeUp=) and paste that word into custominput.ini on a new line. <<Snippet from custominput.ini>> Home=6 <<added>>VolumeUp= (Obviously the <<added>> is not physically there) 2) In scancodes.txt you find the keyboard key which you are trying like to associate it with (ex: i) and put the associated number next to it (ex: which would be 23) into your new line in custominput.ini <<Snippet from scancodes.txt>> 20 T 21 Y 22 U 23 I <-- see how I equals 23 3) So for Volume up it would be: VolumeUp=23 However it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? EDIT- Or is custominput just for additional functions, not to reprogram current ones? Then would I have to make changes to scancodes? Thanks in advance. -Matt
  17. I've previously posted this in feature requests too. I think it would be a very nice ability. -Matt
  18. Great question, great answer
  19. have you tried to convert it to an html file and just load it into html applications? ex. web address: c:\dbaaks\ajdsdf\pp.html
  20. Wow a gameex config site, thats a great idea. Thanks for the time and effort!!
  21. You guys shouldn't be discussing alternative software here. Use another forum. Personally, I think its kind of rude If you have a request then post it in the requests section, complaining about it won't help.
