  1. Where is the new function to do this?? Thanks!
  2. Silly question..but is the snap creation in the config area?? I can't seem to see it?!?
  3. Personally, depending on where you are at, one of the Dell's (B110) for 299.00 (with monitor, keyboard) would be a great start and will allow for future upgrades. I just bought another one of these, and just upped the memory and video card, and it runs like a champ!
  4. Where is the function to do this at?? I have looked all over, but can't find it!
  5. Well, IMHO, in the old days, you might have gotten away with your setup (true early arcade games). For the longest time, I ran all MAME on older PC's due to the fact that they were not memory hogs or video hogs. With the games that you mention, however, i would suggest running them on a faster processor. Those games, in particular, eat up video. My main machine for GAMEEX is a 2.4 processor, with 128, but my test machine is a 3.0 with a 256 card, and there is quite a difference. With the media that I have loaded, I also have a gig+ memory, but it is your call as to what you need. I always follow the tried and true rule..more memory and faster processor speed is better!! Hope that helps!
  6. Hola..what virus is it?? That will help us to narrow it down...
  7. Wow! Where did that come from?? Obviously, we are dealing with someone who is not trying to capture a bit of the past, along with adding great present features. Why in the world you would want to use this for anything other than a cab or pc is beyond me. The xbox mame people, at their best, are a wacky group. And when you try to run MAME on the xbox, you get what you get. That being said, this is still the best thing out there, hands down! Probably this guy did not take the time to explore all the possibilities GAMEEX has to offer...the rest of us know what this thing is and I personally thank you Tom for all your continued efforts into this great product!

    Visual Pinball

I know this topic has been discussed, but I was still wondering if VP works with GAMEEX, or is better to be used by itself. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Pinball

Thank you for the info...I agree with you on the problems, which was why I was hoping there might be more stuff out there!! Guess I will just stick with MAME and be happy!

    Pinball

Any recommendations on front ends or emulators for pinball?? thanks!
  11. Hehe..I agree wholeheartedly!!
  12. Good man! There is NOTHING on this planet, that is so complete, yet is consistently updated for the better, which you can get your answer from the developer for such a great deal!!! More support means more for all of us!!! Keep this baby alive!!
  13. hehe..I hear ya!! It is Bill's world afterall!! We are just his pawns!! I will be loading Vista probably next week and will update as to how GAMEEX works with that.. I have no fear however: Tom is always on the spot to fix everything quickly!! So far, so good..pretty cool...nice look and organizes everything nicely!! I do NOT recommend the new IE though..it SUX!!! Don't do it yet!!!! You can install it and take it out with add/remove, so you can compare..but it is very slow and seeks licenses and such for everything...
  14. What do you have your filters in configuration set to??
  15. What are your specs you are running this on?? (memory/video card/OS)
  16. What version are you running??
  17. Anyone taken the leap yet to see if this works ok with GAMEEX??? If not..I will jump in and give it a whirl and report!!
  18. I have played with a lite version, but due to the needs for the media stuff, (MNG, Music, etc) for all the add on goodies, I would not recommend it. It is better to load full XP, and then start turning off all processess that you don't need to optimize it. Also, with a good video card, and memory, you really help yourself out quite a bit.
  19. Hi- I have run it on both platforms, and believe it runs smoother on Xp, personally, probably due to XP's media design. Just my two cents

    DOS BOX

I agree with Night..you have to really go through it step by step, and I found that it works differently with each program, so it does take a bit of tweaking. I would start with one game, and make sure you have that down before you get too adventurous!
  21. I am still having that very same problem..hopefully, someone can clue us in!

    DOS BOX

I am not sure DOSBOX will work, as it is a standalone function. I will try and configure mine and let you know. Personally, I have found it to have quite a few glitches, so I would be surprised if it works.

Hi Tom- I found out the error..it is with my Daphne path (again). I can run it standalone no problem, but it always bombs with GAMEEX. Any suggestions??
