    bug IN GAMEEX

  8. Hello there, When I start the Internet Explorer via GameEx, I can not use my joystick to navigate in the browser, e.g. up or down. This especially nerves when I would like to read news and I can not go up or down...what did I miss ? Chers, Andre
  9. Hey guies, dont misunderstand me, I do NOT use the caraoke function of gameex...I start a normal DVD, which itself contain smusic videos with the text and then the girls are doing the caraoke...
  10. Hopefully something will change because that bug is a "Kick-in-the-ass" bug !!
  11. OK, I just installed my old Image with Gameex version 10.29, and I have the same problem : 1. Start Gameex 2. He starts always the same song insted of shuffling the music BUT : I do NOT have the problem that when I go now into Jukebox, he will NOT stop my playlist and start another one... Also, in the new version of gameex, when You start gameex for the first time, he will check for new music files. When You go now to the jukebox, the system will hang and You can see how he checks all music files by title. Ok, not a problem BUT after 2 minutes, my screen saver will start, which means that he will STOP taging my music !! When I hit the ESC key, the screen will stay black and nothing will go on... As You can see, we have still some bugs in the new version..ggrrr...could someone please report that to Tom ? Bye, André
  12. I will apply my old image wth gameex version 10.29 and will see if everything is ok, but I am sure it will be...
  13. I also deleted the corresponding Jukebox files in the DATA folder and the playlist txt files, started again gameex....he is creating the lists new but with the same results....grrrr...
  14. Bye the way, the problem was not there in gameex version 10.29, because in my old FULL MAME Installation Guide, Version 1.8, I was using that version and I did not have that problem...so I think it must have something to do with gameex.... Also what I wrote before : You start gameex, he play always the same song, and when I go to the jukebox, he stops the actual song and switches to another one...why ?? André
  15. I have exactly the same problem as teh others one which posted in that thread... Now the newest think is that when I go at the beginning directly into the Jukebox, Gameex will crash... Ohh man...and always the same song...and before, when I went into the Jukebox, he took automatically another song... So, I am know  Bye the way, I updated the Full MAME Installation Guide to version 2.0, which has Visual Pinball integrated... Bye, André

  17. Hi, I also made a lot of tests with slimed XP versions and always got a lot of problems, so my suggestion is to let off Your hands from that... please have a look at my Full MAME Installation guide for more explanations -> see my signature...by the way : I am just uploading the new 2.0 version...
  18. I found an issue in gameex where I believe that could be a bug : 1. I start gameex 2. He will play the default playlist and always starts with the same song (can I change that that he always starts another song ?) 3. When I now go to MULTIMEDIA -> JUKEBOX, he stops the current song and plays another song, but NOT from the actual playlist. I know that because when I go 1 track back, I get another song. He does that only 1 time. If I go back again to the main menue and back to the jukebox, the song stays... Do You also have that problem ? André
  19. Hello, me again... Yesterday I made some tests with the microphone and falled into a problem, where I am not sure if there exists a solution : On our parties, girls love to sing caraoke, so I installed 2 microphones for singing their favorite songs, BUT : Problem is the sound volume : 1. The microphones do have their own sound volume (which is set to maximum) 2. You can only change the MASTER sound volume in gameex 3. On my boxes, I also have a separate volume controler So, what we would like to have is that the sound volume of the songs must be lower than the microphone sound volume so that we can hear the voices, but how to accomplish that ?? I can only influence the master sound volume in gameex, meaning that BOTH volumes (Sound and microphone) will get louder or vise versa. The solution would be that in gameex, I should only be able to control the sound volume of the SONG an NOT the master volume. Is there a chance to accomplish that ? Bye and greetz ! André
  20. Hi, No it also does not play via WMP. He tells me that a compatible DVD decoder is not installed...but as I wrote, I INSTALLED the new sharc codec pack...maybe I have to change settings in shark ?? Ok, after some tests, I think I foun the problem, but thats crazy : I installed WMP11 and after the installation, I chose "Custom settings" and not "Express Settings", and that is a big difference !! After that, everything was working fine !! I do not understand the technical difference, but thats it...now everything is working...crazy !! I have another thing regarding the microphone, but I will start a new thread for that... Bye, André
  21. Hello there, I thought I am finished with the configuration with the new Gameex version, but when I tried the DVD playback, its not working...aahhgrrr...before everything was fine. What did I do : 1. Installed WMP 11 2. Installed Sharc Codeck Pack 3. Installed new gameex version When I go into the setup wizard, I checked DVD playback, and then I have to choose the codec for MPEG 2, but I can not choose anything...I think this is also the reason why DVD playback is not working. Also when I start WMP, he tells me that there is no MPEG2 codec...but I installed the Shark codec pack, so what do I wrong ?? André
  22. OK, next problem was that the config file which I downloaded here has not the ini-extension...its a txt extension and this was the reason why it did not work....very tricky !! Last question : In Gameex, for some pinballs, I get a screenshot and not for others, but I copied in the snaps folder all screenshots. So whta must be the name for each pinball so thta gameex will show me the picture ?
  23. Maybe I have tomatoes on my eyes.. ....here is my ini file: [Emulator_1] Enabled=False STARTPAGENAME=Visual PinMAME TITLETEXT=Visual PinMAME StartPageLogo=Visual Pinball ROMFilter=*.vpt RomPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Tables RomsInFolders=False SnapPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Snaps TitlePath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Titles BoxPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Boxes CartPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Cartridges ManualPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Manuals ControlPanelPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Controls InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\Tables MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile=C:\Program Files\GameEx\MAP FILES\Pinmame AlsoLaunch= Command=""D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\VPinballLoader.exe" "[ROMFILE]" "[WORKINGPATH]"" LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (ESC+Q) ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Pinball] Visual Pinball UseDbName=False GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3= [GENERAL] DumbyValue= Did I miss something ?
  24. Dam, today I made more test and saw, that everything will start perfectly the first time, but when I again start a Pinball Table, I got again the loading sequences an not the Pinball picture, so I reinstalled again my system. Now everything is working fine : Selecting a Table, starting the table, wrapper is loading the table, I see the Pinball picture....but when I hit the []ESC] key to return to gameex, I will get the normal small window and I have to click on "Exit"...grrrrr...and the system does not do that for me automatically...so what problem do I have again ? What I want is that when I hit [ESC] in Visual Pinball, he should himself automatically return to gameex...
  25. OK, I think I found a bug in gameex and this is why I spent now 1 hour with that programm !! I was never able to start the wrapper because gameex did not generate the "-sign to start the whole command, meaning that when I looked at the runitgame.batthe "-signs where missing : the first one and the last one !! So I had to put in 2 " signs and now its working...ggrrrrr....what a stupid mistake !! : Command=""D:\Emulators\Visual Pinball\VPinballLoader.exe" "[ROMFILE]" "[WORKINGPATH]" OK, have a good night !! André
