I've tried both of these files and they try to launch to wrong games. They try to launch the 1st and 4th games on the list(which don't work) rather than the 2nd and 5th like they need to.
-
Hi Tom, Just curious if you had any luck with this or if there was anything I could try. Thanks
-
Okay, here it is. Tom I have a question for you; when you try it out, do you play the song til finish or do you exit the song before done. I noticed that it works okay when I play the songs til finish but if I exit mid song that is when it crashes, and it's always on the 2nd song. GameEx.zip

Okay, thanks. I'll wait patiently.

Anyone have any advice for me. Or is there anyone that uses gameex for karaoke successfully that could share their setup. Like what version are you using, what are your pc specs(processor, graphics card, etc.), gameex settings. Thanks
-
Either mode. I should note that I tried updating my graphic drivers but that didn't help.
-
Okay, I upgraded and set it to not change resolution and the same thing happens. Here is the log. I should note that it happens after the 2nd song. Looking at the log, it shows errors when returning from the first song but it doesn't crash until returning from the 2nd song. 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: GameEx: Version 9.06: Starting Log 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: Operating System Platform: Win32NT 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: Operating System Name: Windows XP 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: Operating System Version: 5.1.2600 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: Checking for versions of .net Framework installed 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: .net Framework 1.0 Installed 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: .net Framework 1.1 Installed 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: .net Framework 2.0 Installed 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: AMD Sempron Processor 3400+, 382MB 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: 2.01Ghz 14:08:48.6 12/23/2007: Running Randomize() 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Loading PlugIns 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Checking for applications to Launch On Startup 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Running Misc startup tasks 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Setting Menu types 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Opening Configuration File 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Getting Configuration Values 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Using Theme: Default - MCE Glossy 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - MCE Glossy 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Launching HideOS.exe 14:08:48.7 12/23/2007: Initialising Video/MNG DLL's 14:08:49.1 12/23/2007: Hiding Taskbar 14:08:49.1 12/23/2007: Is Media Center running? 14:08:49.1 12/23/2007: Checking/Creating LCD Registry values 14:08:49.1 12/23/2007: Check Media Center Exit/Start Mode 14:08:49.1 12/23/2007: Media Center Mode 2 14:08:49.2 12/23/2007: Video previews on. I should mention that I tried different themes, turning off advanced graphics, 16 bit color, and different resolutions.

When I play a karaoke file through gameex it works fine but when returning to menu, gameex crashes and gives the following error. I tried it on 3 separate computers and I get the same error on all three. 08:43:54.7 12/23/2007: GameEx: Version 9.03: Starting Log 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Operating System Platform: Win32NT 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Operating System Name: Windows XP 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Operating System Version: 5.1.2600 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Checking for versions of .net Framework installed 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: .net Framework 1.0 Installed 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: .net Framework 1.1 Installed 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: .net Framework 2.0 Installed 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: AMD Sempron Processor 3400+, 382MB 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: 2.01Ghz 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Running Randomize() 08:43:54.8 12/23/2007: Loading PlugIns 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Checking for applications to Launch On Startup 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Running Misc startup tasks 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Setting Menu types 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Opening Configuration File 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Getting Configuration Values 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Using Theme: Default - MCE Glossy 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - MCE Glossy 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Launching HideOS.exe 08:43:54.9 12/23/2007: Initialising Video/MNG DLL's 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Hiding Taskbar 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Is Media Center running? 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Checking/Creating LCD Registry values 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Check Media Center Exit/Start Mode 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Media Center Mode 2 08:43:55.2 12/23/2007: Video previews on. I read thru the link and it said that the problem was that he had dual lightguns enabled. After disabling that it was good to go.
-
I am using dual guns with vanilla mame 117 and they work great. All I had to do was set lightgun_device to lightgun and then go into the control settings in the mame menu and assign the first gun to player 1 and the 2nd gun to player 2. If you want to use the lightgun for games like terminator 2 that used positional guns then you will have to set those up individually.
-
Thanks, that did the trick. Everything is working great. This plugin is amazing! Just one question, Headkaze. Do you sleep? Because I don't know where you find the time to write all this kick a** software.
-
Yea, earlier today I set up gameex to run the EXE directly and it crashed just like before. If I load explorer.exe then I have no issues whatsoever. I can launch the program anywhich way I like, it's when explorer.exe isn't loaded and I'm trying to launch the game from gameex. I can launch the game from outside of gameex when explorer.exe isn't loaded, with no problems. It's only when I try to launch from gameex, when gameex is shell, and it's only Tiger woods pga tour that I have issues with.
-
I thought maybe that's what happened. I zipped up my plugin lcd folder and attached it. PluginLCD.zip
-
Also, I set it up as a batch file and had gameex launch that and it did the same thing.
-
The parenthesis didn't make a difference.
-
-
I tried setting up gameex to launch the keywiz uploader on startup but I get the following error. Seems as if gameex is trying to move the window and the keywiz software doesn't like it. I was wondering if there was a workaround for this?

I'm not using cpwizard, and I don't have flat menus enabled in GameEx?
-
I just noticed something even weirder. After I try to load tiger woods and it errors out, when returning to gameex, the mess emulator is being launched in the background. Why in the world would that happen?
-
Well, at least I'm not the only one. It's not a real big deal as most everything works flawlessly but it just has me baffled.
-
I tried the new version and it's doing the same thing. When leaving a game list, the buttons lit for the last game I had displayed, stay lit.
-
Yes, actually that is how I have all of my pc games set up. Is there another way to run them thru gameex?
