  1. Here's a screenshot of my display settings. Notice the position of my secondary monitor.
  2. What I had to do to get it to display properly is go into window's display properties and move the secondary display above the primary display, otherwise the left side of it was cut off. I'll attach a screenshot later that will make more sense for anyone that has the same issue. Is there any way to make sure the viewer comes back after playing a dual screen game like punchout? Otherwise I am really digging it. I wish I had the option to choose which images were displayed but either way it's pretty awesome.
  3. I have not tried those, I'll have to check them out. Thanks
  4. I like the gameextender fullscreen artwork. I think it looks better. I think it would be nice if you could choose what is displayed. I don't think the cabinet shots look good fullscreen because of the resolution and quality of some of the pics. I did have a few issues with the viewer. It does not start automatically with gameex, I have to start it manually before starting gameex. I also noticed that when I play a multi screen mame game that it caused the viewer to kick off and stay off.
  5. Currently it is not possible to customize the gameextender, but I think Tom might be looking into improving it. I had similar requests to what you had and he said a plugin might do the trick and/or he mentioned updating gameextender. Just curious, could you share your settings to get gameextender working. I had it working awhile ago and for whatever reason I can't get it working again.
  6. Is anyone currently using the gameextender viewer for displaying on a secondary monitor? If so, could you please share your settings. Thanks
  7. It's been awhile since I used the game extender for displaying on a secondary monitor and now for whatever reason I can not get it to work. I used to have it working fine. Could someone please share their setting so I can make sure mine are right. Thanks
  8. I think it would be nice if gameextender was more customizable. More choices on what was displayed. Also, I wanted to mention that I was not able to get the gameextender viewer to work with vista. It works fine for me under XP. For what I had envisioned maybe a plugin would be needed. I have 2 cabinets that I planned on using dual displays with. On the first one I envisioned having gameex displayed on the primary monitor(lower monitor) and using the upper monitor(marquee) to display artwork(such as marquees, flyers, controls, or emulator logos, etc.; ideally the user could decide) while browsing gameex. When a game is launched the artwork image would stay on the upper monitor except for games or programs that use multiple displays. Then the upper monitor would be utilized by the corresponding game or program. On my 2nd cabinet I thought about doing things a little different. The upper monitor(marquee) would be used to display gameex and the lower monitor would be used to display the artwork image while browsing in gameex. Then when a game was launched, the artwork image would be switched to the upper monitor and the game would be displayed on the lower monitor. And like I said before, I thought it would be cool to have a 3rd monitor on the control panel to display the controls but it doesn't sound like that is too feasible.
  9. You would be able to get by with 1 add in video card if you computer has onboard video and you add a card that supports dual displays which most of them do nowadays. The cp's with the lcd displays is what got me thinking about using an actual monitor so that you could have cpviewer images displayed. I think it would be a pretty neat addition. I was envisioning it as the 3rd monitor on my own cabinet but it would still be a cool addition to regular cabinet that is currently only using 1 monitor, making the cpviewer monitor the 2nd monitor.
  10. I have a cabinet that I am thinking of installing a second monitor on top and having it display the marquees or possibly a combination of different artwork files or maybe have it alternate between marquees and flyers. Also when in a console emulator list maybe just display the logo for that console. Also when no artwork is available it would be nice to display a specified logo. Ideally the artwork would stay there after the game was launched. Sort of along the same lines, I thought of possibly adding a third monitor that would be placed on the control panel that would display the control functions for each game and ideally it would stay displayed when the game was launched.
  11. Thanks for the responses guys. I thought the 3rd monitor might be pushing it, would be cool though. One thing I was thinking about was the bezels in mame. Can they be set up to span multiple displays or is 1 display the limit?
  12. I tried it awhile ago and it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Also, I never could get it to work exactly right. Never centered on screen, part of image cut off. Also there was no choice on what was displayed. I'm kind of glad I have your attention Headkaze. I was also thinking of using cpwizard to create a bunch of pngs where the top half of the image would be the marquee and the bottom half of the image would be the controls. Didn't know if this was possible. I was also wondering if it would be possible to display the images on the secondary monitor while the game was played on the primary monitor. One other thing I thought about was using a 3rd monitor on the control panel just for displaying the controls. So that would put the game on the primary monitor, the marquee on the display 2 and the control image on display 3. Would that be possible or am I going a little over the top?
  13. I wouldn't necessarily have to span gameex across 2 displays but what I basically want to do is display gameex on the primary display as you normally would but I would like to display the marquee artwork on the secondary display.
  14. Actually there was a person over at byoac that was doing exactly what you are asking a couple of years ago but he disappeared. The one event that I remember that he did have working was when the ball was ready to throw in Mr. Do it would light the fire button. If I can track down the thread I will post it here.
  15. Yes, I didn't mean to leave Stu out. Thanks Stu and always thanks to Tom for a great frontend.
  16. That did the trick. It works great! Thanks Brian.
  17. When the song is done it automatically exits back to gameex?
  18. Thanks Hoffman. I truly appreciate it.
  19. I tried looking at the AHK source to see what was going on but I have no experience with AHK and couldn't make much out of it. Any chance one of the resident AHK experts could take a look at it. I have been trying to get a working Karaoke set up with GameEx for awhile now and I haven't had any luck. I hate to keep asking for help but I have tried extensively on my own and I can't figure it out. Thanks
  20. I was going to try an older version of karafun to see if it would work but previous versions aren't offered for download. Does anyone have an older version I could try? Thanks
  21. I had another question. If a person exits back to gameex before the song is done will this cause the script to hang and create problems when you try to launch another song?
  22. I tried the script and it isn't working. It will launch karafun and the song just fine but when karafun exits from full screen the script does not close karafun. I am using the latest version of karafun.
  23. Thanks for the dat file. Got all the games working now! I'm surprised I didn't see any announcements on this or anything. 2 questions. I don't have the slightest clue when it comes to the compiling ahk scripts. Any chance someone wants to whip up a new one so Ridge Racer can also be launched. Also, I was wondering if it was common for ahk scripts to be identified as viruses by antivirus programs. Thanks
  24. I never heard anything about this. Could you clue me in on where you found out about this?
  25. I tried your version but it only gets me to the point where it shows the list of games and I have to manually select the game to play.
