  1. is ther any way within gameex to change the beam width on vector games? i am not using arcade vga mode and thats the only place i see anything about vector, in mame32fx that i have been playing around with its easy to experiment with different sizes to get what looks best. (by the way i am not using mame32 with gameex but a command line mame)
  2. on mame32 is there a way to get around the disclaimer thats says there are known problems with this game, type ok or move joystick to continue. it gets anoying on a cabinet that is running the random game screen saver and its sitting waiting to type ok.

i would love the video if someone would e-mail it to me thanks
  4. i hope you guys are right, it looks like a neat product but they wont respond to e-mails and wont return my calls on the voice machine that i leave .i cant understand how any company can still be around with no comunication with customers and charging the customers credit card for $600 and no straight answer as to why it takes 3 months plus to get what i have allready paid for? i wish this company was as concerned with support as tom is with game-ex, i have never seen support like the support that comes with game-ex and its not even his bread and butter bussines. its a hobby i have seen in other forums people bitch about having to pay for the registration for game-ex and they are stupid because for what little they pay, they will get support that a commercial product cant even come close to. thanks tom for every thing with game-ex
  5. has anyone here had experience with the slikstik company? i ordered a classic dual control in may from them for around $600, they charged my credit card and i cant get in touch with them, i have called and spoke with someone and they said the problem was happ controls trackballs are bad and they are waiting for a shipment, i got a hold of them a week later and they said mine was in line for a trackball and its done and the trackballs did arrive. i left a message a week after that and they e-mailed saying parts are coming in slowley and mine unit needs more parts? are these guys nuts? is the company some goof working out of a garage. should i wait or contact the better business burea. thanks for any input on my problem
  6. i re-downloaded the full newest install and reinstalled it with the default themes and now its fine, thanks tom

  8. i am running an arcade vga card and a 25" arcade monitor in my cabinet, so i am running at 640x288 res. i can run all of the themes from the main page including tron, soul calibur and women we like to play. on nights page it says these themes are 1024x768 for women and soul calibur and tron are 798x597 is that correct? if so how are those displaying correctly on my monitor, there are not many cool themes out for my resolution monitor for gameex there are cool ones for mamewah and to be honest i dont have the time to create a nice lowres theme myself. thanks
  9. thanks! there are not a lot of themes for us guys with cabinets with arcade monitors and your theme so far looks great , nice and clean looking
  10. i like the looks so far but i am sure you are doing this at a higher res than arcade monitor will display, it would be awsome if you made a low res 640x288 version
  11. depending what games you are trying to run, if its some old 80's arcade stuff i then older builds of mame are best, mame 32 seems to run slower for me or find a faster machine. its so cheap to build a computer from tigerdirect.com
  12. i dont know much about fastmame other than the last known version 098b was released july of 05 so its pretty old and i think its no longer being developed i would try some of the newer mame builds
  13. anyone out there using an arcade monitor in a cabinet with the arcade vga and newer mame what settings in advanced settings are you using for the best display on your monitor? -d3d -video d3d -noswitchres -video ddraw ect! i am pulling out my hair to get it to where i think it looks good please share any luck you have had with the video options and arcade vga. thanks
  14. when pressing ~ you can change some rom options like volume ,brightness and gamma. turning the gamma up a bit helps a lot with some games on my arcade monitor but when i exit from the game it does not save what ive tweaked? what am i doing wrong? and is there a way to save the game last state? like if i am far into a game and want to finish it another day where i left off. thanks

    New Theme

how or where is an option to sretch the theme to my res? if i try to use your theme i only see a quarter of the screen and the rest is off of the screen, the themes soul caliber and tron work fine they are 798x597 and also Women We Love To Play 1024x768 works but yours is larger than the screen? any ideas

    New Theme

looks nice so far, buy i am afraid to ask what is the resolution going to be? i have a cabinet with and arcade monitor and arcade vga and it seems like no one does low res themes
  18. i am having the same problem, i am using an arcade vga card in a cabinet using a arcade monitor horizontal and the bezels no longer show up, i also am having problems getting the games like space invaders, pacman galaga to fit correctly in the screen, mame32 it works fine by itself and through gameex but not with mame with arcadevga settings?
  19. has anyone noticed in mame32 107 and maybe mame107 that the disclaimer (ok to continue) on my arcade monitor i cant even read the warnings game looks fine but something changed in the newest mame with the font for the discliamer warning thanks
  20. i also noticed the same thing, games like galaga and galaxian the top would be cut off a bit in game ex with arcade vga settings but it looked fine in mame32 with arcede vga settings, so am running mame32 and have it arcade vga turned off in gameex and it looks perfect and bezels work .
  21. is there any way using the theme editor to edit a allready complete theme and change the resolution? i have an arcade monitor running at 640x288 and some of the 800x600 themes on the theme page look cool but not on my screen (too big) thanks
  22. my bezels stopped working also, and i tried and deleted the bezel folder and reinstalled and still doesnt work anyone else had the same problem?
  23. thanks for the input. i might strip it down and remove everthing i dont need. or has anyone ever tried a program like xp lite to make a cleaned up install of xp?
  24. i have a mame arcade cabinet with an arcade vga card and i am running windows xp now, but i am thinking of running 2000 instead because its a game machine only any problems with gameex or arcade vga with windows 2000? would i be better with 2000 (faster and lesscrap) thanks
  25. i have a arcade vga card and an arcade cabinet with the arcade monitor, what nintendo 64 emulator works the best with the arcade vga card and game-ex? thanks
