right but there used to be 2 topics in downloads the beta net version and the non, now only arcade edition but what the download link downloads is the net version cant download the original arcade version

arcade version 17.20 i dont see a regular version? link downloads net 6 only now i have 2 install folders, is this the only version now if so i will remove the other folder. thanks

spent the afternoon making all new directories and re-copied all the artwork, roms and mame from the backup hard drive. made new mame.ini and edited the gameex arcade config for the new directories and still no bezel or info in attract mode in gameex arcade? GameEx.ini log.txt

when playing the games the bezel for the game shows, its just in the demo attract mode nothing is there, i have a older backup drive and i booted from that drive and in attract the bezels and the game description with the name shows. i have allways updated my roms and never had a problem i even copied over the older roms 232 to the drive with the problem and the same thing. i dont want to use that it has a lot i removed so i could go to a smaller ssd

i updated my roms to 236 and mame thought everything was ok but noticed i no longer in attract mode have the gameex bezel for vertical games or game info when its running? i didnt change anything else. i have tried everything to get it working again, only thing maybe my ssd drive is failing and something got corrupt but i reinstalled gameex arcade again over itself and didnt help. thanks GameEx.ini log.txt

went back and added in the do not filter line and deleted everything in the GameFilter line. now it works.

isnt there a way to not filter any games? that is just 1 game i found that isnt showing up there could be way more. in regular gameex i never had a problem

i have had gameex for a while and everything was working great but when i discovered arcade version i was more what i was looking for so it seemed to be working great until i wanted to try operation tiger that is now playable. used the search and its not there, ran mame by itself and its there and playable, double checked settings and looked at the ini and nothing it set incorrect. found my backup drive with normal gameex dragged the folder over to my working drive and ran it and the game is there? even for the heck of it used that gameex.ini in the arcade folder and still its not there. are there more games missing? i dont see anywhere in arcade that it shows how many games are available.

ok thanks. it was strange because it would be running and in attract mode and go for sometimes hours and i would walk away and there would be windows has recovered error on the screen? couldnt really find the problem in the error logs in windows tried everything gave up and reinstalled and all seems fine now thanks i will copy the cfg files

started having random windows crashes and had to do a fresh install, still have original drive with everything on it and dont want to copy something that might have been causing the crashes. so in mame where is the info stored for button settings and gun settings per game that i can copy back over to the new install so i dont have to go and set all that up again. thanks

just wondering if it was simple to do it. i also like this feature had everything looking great but couldnt leave it alone and deleted by mistake my custom tweaks to modelines and resulutions .so i am kind of starting over with tweaking everything and when the bezel is being used on some games in attract mode i had some strange looking games because of the bezel. but i have gotten it better now. i have a d9800 with crt emudriver installed and the games looked great, if i use the games bezel it will crop leaving the games looking ok but in demo the bezel fills the screen and and fits the game to it.. but i have gotten it almost perfect now . thanks

is it possible to have in attract mode to demo games without the mame bezel but still show at the bottom the current game being run info? thanks

they are all named toki tokib is the bootleg that starts fine with no interaction all the others you have to hit start. if arcade version doesnt show clones then i will just have to deal with it like it is.

is arcade supposed to sown in the list game clones? if so mine doesnt . i am running 16.80 and Draconus Theme ive looked at everything and dont see it anywhere to enable. also running regular gameex and i see clones in that. the only reason i car about clones is i like the game toki and have it in my favorites and when attract mode is running that game has a screen that to get to the game you have to hit start otherwise it just sits on that screen and never demos. the clone toki(datsu bootleg) will demo if it was there to add to my favorites. unless i am missing a setting on the original rom so it doesnt hang at that sceen. thanks GameEx.ini

found it. regular gameex the theme i use doesnt show the marque for the game. arcade the them does so thats why i didnt see the problem in regular mame. but i searched in the downloaded artwork folder and there was the gunsmoke marque named alien3 ? have no idea why because it was downloaded automatically so i deleted that and all of the alien 3 stuff and ran download artwork and its all good now.
