Funny you should bring this up. I had a few GameEX marquees printed ages ago which i wasn't entirely happy with (not that they look that bad) and they've just been gathering dust so to speak. If anyone's interested in them i'll see if i can find the photos i took of them and post them here.

Just noticed there that the latest version of DirectX 9.0c requires you to be connected to the net to install it (my cab's not connected to net). Does anyone have a version of it just before it got 'Net Aware' ?

Some are in quicktime format and will need to be converted to avi (if you like them). Let me know if you've any joy converting them - i tried it before but the quality wasn't as good as the original quicktime version. http://www.cinemarcade.com/movies.html

There were a few others floating around. 'The Games That Time Forgot' being one, and another kind of had a 'James Bond' style avi which i can't recall it's name. I had them on the hard drive at one stage. Try Google.

I'm just working from memory here (so excuse me) but i remember the 'Exit' option (is it ?) being at the far right hand side of the horizontal menu that is cut off but if you pulled the horizontal menu to the left it looks as if the entire horizontal menu would fit on the screen.

Hi. You say your playlists work with WMP11. Have you set GameEx to 'Use WMP Library' under 'Audio Settings' ?

The available widescreen themes are at 1280x768.

I'm sorry. You're right. I changed that option about a week or so ago because my jukebox playlist kept getting interupted by the mame screensaver. I guess i didn't really look at the alternative option (turn monitor off) and just assumed that it would stop the mame screensaver from kicking in. While we're on the subject - Do you think you could provide another alternative in the screensaver setting ? Would it be possible to have like your normal windows type screensaver (with the graphic being used from the 'Please Wait' screen) to kick in but keep the jukebox play uninterrupted ? Also, i'm using the V3 media centre theme and i'm running at 1024x768. The horizontal menu is offset to the right and i can only see the 'E' of the 'Exit' Option but there seems to be enough space to fit the horizontal menu on the screen if it was moved back to the left. Am i doing something wrong ? Thanks, ian.

Still having problems with GameEX locking up with version 9.36. Alt-Tab wont work and i have to reboot. On reboot my desktop is black for some reason. I haven't been able to get this FE working correctly this past month

Don't know FirebrandX, but it's a good idea/alternative to the ambient music thing. Feature request perhaps ?

Tom, i'm finding that the controls seem to lock up if GX is left idle for a moment or two. This has been experienced by at least one other user. http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=5693 EDIT: Actually, i'm after leaving GX on the jukebox and eventually windows screensaver kicked in. When i moved the mouse after say 20 minutes of idle, all i get is a black screen. Alt-Tab helps get back to jukebox.

I'd consider using Media Portal or Album Player if you're after a touchscreen jukebox. There seems to be no way of paging in the jukebox (that i can find) with a touchscreen.

Sorry Brian, but i don't understand what you mean. GX is running in full screen mode. Do you mean if i somehow disable windows from turning the monitor off ?

I installed GX on a pc with a standard pc monitor. After a few moments of inactivity windows turns off the monitor (must be a power saving feature), when i move the mouse the monitor comes back on BUT i can't use the mouse (or see the mouse cursor anywhere) and the cursor keys which i was using to navigate the menu don't work. Now i don't remember mapping anything but a gamepad but the mouse and cursor keys were definitely working before the monitor was powered down by windows. Any ideas ?
