Manually. I am back on Win 7 Home (on my HomePC) thou not sure if compiling it on Win 8.1 has any issues as I haven't tested it on my ArcadePC (that PC is running Win 8.1 Pro).

MAME 0.157 is out and I successfully compiled both MAME and MAMEUI using MAME Compiler 64 without any issues.

I was just mentioning/observing guys mainly for the noobs ... just like Adultry mentioned they can use the Plugin Downloader to update their plugins to the latest. QuickLaunch was still 1.06 and the latest is 1.08 so as Draco mentioned you guys can look over in the User Projects forums as well as the GameEx forums download section too. I realize Tom didn't mention the plugins but if anyone is new to GameEx they might assume they were the latest. Thanks.

One thing I noticed is the plugins haven't been updated with this release.

I use both at the same time ... Chrome runs SiriusXM on a seperate monitor while Firefox is used as my main browser on my HDTV. I prefer Firefox just for the NoSquint extension as I haven't found a similar extension that works as good for Chrome.

Well this way comps could include other systems as well and indepent of each other.

I figured it out now ..... Looks like Stella 4.2 uses SDL2.dll and 4.1.1 used SDL.dll so if you had both of those dll files in the stella directory it would crash Stella 4.2. So by deleting SDL.dll everything ran just fine. Wow not sure why I didn't test that out earlier. Oh well so if anyone else has this issue then try that as it will fix your problem. If you did a fresh install of Stella 4.2 of course you won't have that issue but if you install 4.2 over the top of 4.1.1 then you might.

Stella 4.2 x64 crashes when launching it from within GameEx (as well as Hyperspin as I tested it with that frontend as well). When launching it outside GameEx (or Hyperspin) it runs just fine. If I revert back to Stella 4.1.1 x64 everything works just fine. Anyone else notice this at all? I been scratching my head and can't pinpoint the problem as there is no error reported just a straight out crash with no info given. Not sure if it has anything to do with Win 8.1 or not but everything works just fine with the previous Stella builds so for now I guess I have to stick with 4.1.1 when using it with GameEx. Launching Stella 4.2 outside loads the Stella game launcher and you can select and play any game just fine and exit back to desktop just fine. Very strange. Note: Stella only crashes not GameEx as I am able to close the error and exit back to GameEx.

What would be nice if someday this gets expanded so that the RSS ticker for each system could have it's own hi-scores that get posted from the GameEx comunity. So the Atari 2600 could have it's own hi-scores ect ect ....

Anyone else having issues with the weather select tool? I type in a zip code and nothing (doesn't display any city or anything) and no weather icon display in the themes either even thou it is enabled.

Ok now that I am finished how I want my layout and title screen to look and I am ready to start working on all the system themes now. First up is the Atari 2600 theme. I know this was a favorite one on the GameroomEx theme but being this is a media center style theme I am not doing individual game themes for this until EVO come out which at that time I hope to add more items and art depending on what I can do or is allowed with EVO's theme designing. One nice thing with this theme is I don't have to create all these individual themes which will cut down on the time it will take me to complete this as well as no special things you need to do to set it up.

Also set remove duplicates to "No"

Yes GameEx supports mp4. Do you have codecs installed? If not try installing Shark's Codecs and that should fix your problem. In the past even thou I had the codec installed a few times it decided to not show the video if that happens I just re-installed the codecs and it fixed it. Not sure what caused that but that is what I did and it resolved the issue.
