but i have heard a lot of good remarks about topgun from a lot of forums, i probably just got unlucky

the way i see it is every one has an escape key to end emulators and mame, y not have attract mode only ezit when this escape key is pressed,or at least an option in the config, i have touched on this subject before

i have 2 topgun lightguns mounted to my 21" crt i have had nothing but problems with them they just keep messing up windows recognises it some times ive tried every driver out there, and now the recoil wont work , i found them a pain in the ass, but maybe its my comp let me know if u have better luck, p,s i have had them both working perfectly for about a week but it seemed every time i turned the comp off by the mains it messed up

it drove me bloody nuts as well m8 it works on mine ok now

what you need to do is set up the emulator as u want it and then copy the config file to a file called nulldcbackup.cfg now u have the backup now we need to make a batch file use the one i have here in the atatchments you must have the backup.cfg in the same directory as the original config file and put the batch file in the same folder so they are all in the same folder no we must edit gameex config i have added my config also edit to your needs like the paths to roms let me know how u get on if u open the run,bat file in notepad you can see what i have told the computer to do dreamcast.rar

i had this problem so i made a batch file that would replace the config file everytime i start the emulator so even if the config got deleted the batch file would make a new one, very easy to do

does that get rid of spyware as well as viruses

im currently using avg antivirus spybot search and destroy ccleaner (for removing buit up crap and fix registry) i just feel i might be overlooking some better ones out there what ones do u find works best (for windows)

sometime my light guns sends the curser to the top of the screen, do u have light guns on ur cab

i have had this problem a while but havnt had the time to mention it, i have the escape key programmed in config to exit all emulators except the pc games, but i needed the config file to map the keys and in the config file the escape to exit button is on false, and the problem im getting is rarely but sometimes i boot the arcade machine up an go to pc games and when i press escape to change weopen or something the game ends and i get the sound of game over, it just really got to me as i was right in the middle of a battle online ,ggrrrrrr any idea's guys

wow a lot of options u guy's r giving me, but the raid idea sounds simpler , and ripping all those games would take a while lol

chears m8 id need a lot of hard drives then p,s can gameex read from two different locations for roms for the same emulator,incase i need a few hard drives thanx

i have mame and about 15 emulators and pc games set up on the same four gamepads on my cab it isnt that hard as the emulators pick up the controllers u have and u can configure the keys u want, and gameex has a great escape feature ,for all games one buttone end , its easier than it sounds m8 just play with each emulator

a creative soundblaster is one of the best sound cards ever made,, most compatible, it shouldnt be hard to find a driver

what operating system are u using, and i still think that ac97 might still work for the sound driver, and is ur sound card built into ur motherbourd or is it a pci card that u put onto the motherbourd, as the drivers r different usually

try torrent sites like ****** or ****** take it the creative is the sound card if so try downloading the latest ac97 sound drivers (should be compatible)

my guess is that a newer virsion of mame will play newer games for mame ,as the older versions dont have the configs (just a guess) ive been using old versions and they work fine the newer versions are probably optimized for newer pc's like duel core and sli ect its worth trying a few versions and find the right won for ur p3 i used a p3 once with mame and it worked perfectly not sure on the mame version though, and i had a 64mb nvidia geforce (old) also ur better off downloading the newest graghics card drivers as they will be better it looks like u got plenty of ram u probably wont be able to play chd files as they requuire a lot of computer power (i got a p4 and i struggle) hope this helps also make sure u get the right version like mame32 for 32bit operating systems
