I am attempting to get CHankast (Dreamcast) EMulator working via GameEx. Has anyone got a config file to get this working please?

many thanks for the help guys. I believe I will remove the favs or attempt to get the other emulators working via Meedio which is not what I wanted to do, but maybe Tom will have this feature added in a future release. I will add to the features wanted list. Thanks again.

right i got everything working now apart from the FAVOURITES menu item not appearing on the Emulator GameEx config file (eg: MAME option disabled) Any suggestions on this please - as I'm ready to get everything working thereafter. Thanks.

found it - it was actually mamebak.png even though mame wasn't running - appears to use this for no menu items !!! Also it is case senstivive as I had mine named as MAMEbak and not mamebak Thanks for the help!

to add: I have the theme so that it uses Game Backgrounds. So could this also be logo related?

I'm about to buy the 'Antec LifeStyle Fusion' case which includes a "Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD)" and wondered whether GameEx is compatible with this type of thing? If so, how please?

any suggestions? Are there other options that enable/disable this as well, like Flat Menus, etc etc I can not load the Theme into the Theme Editor as it states it is an old version (v1 Theme). Any suggestions on how to convert the Theme to v2 as well please?

yeah i thought that but it shows my previous setting. I have an Atari ini file and a MAME.ini file. But the MAME is showing the background for the atari when no menu item is selected. I have check the bak.png file and it is correct for the MAME - (Black screen image) Other than that all is working well, I just can't work out what is causing this. The correct THEME has been selected, etc.. Any suggestions?

Under the THEMES, what file is the image background used when nothing is selected (no line selected on menu)

I run this on the GameEx file as well and that didn't work, so heres the file for your viewing pleasure!!! - well maybe not viewing pleasure !! Config_Example.zip

done it. although it seems that if you edit a different config file it doesn't actually save it??weird so i edited the gameex and renamed it. One last thing guys - How do I add Favourites - I have it enabled and go into the Game Info and select ADD TO FAVOURITES but it does not appear on the STart page? Is MAME the only one that can enabled Favourites?

Actually that didn't work - I removed the path but it still shows the titles on the Game Info page.

Tempest - that is what I am doing and you are incorrect as the editor looks at the gameEx.ini file which I call the Config file. (Oops) Thanks Brian that solution worked a treat! (exactly what I was looking for) - didn't notice the FILE menu there before

so the menu item order can not be changed? and I won't be able to remove the Title, Carts, etc options under the Game Info page?

I know how to run GameEx using different Configs, but is there a way to do the same with the ADV CONFIG EDITOR? I have tried the same command line but it doesn't work? Any suggestions please.

ok thanks but that does not give me the ideal results.. If I fix to Emulator 1 it only shows list of games. If I do not fix to Emulator 1 it gives me the Start Page as I would like it apart from the GAMES (for Emulators which I can relabel later) is 3rd on the list - I would like to place GAMES at the top and SEARCH, MOST PLAYED, etc below it on the Start Page. So my question would be is there a way to change the order of the Start Page menu items please? (Like MAME is at top) UPDATE: Also is there a way to remove the Title, Cart, Controls, Instructions options in the Game Info Page?

This is what is happening - I have tried two different methods.. If I link it to EMULATOR 1 then it only displays the games without a Start Page that shows LAST PLAYED, RANDOM and EXIT. If I remove the link and have it under EMULATOR 1, it displays LAST PLAYED, RANDOM and EXIT on the Start Page but no menu item to go into the Emulator Games List? Any suggestions please. Many Thanks. UPDATE: GAMES now appears on the Start Page - but how do I make this appear at the Top of the Start Page List, above LAST PLAYED, etc etc Also how do you change the icon for the GAMES button?

thanks, found em and that worked for the MAME stuff. Although my emulator now doesn't show MAME or my emulatror on the start page? And I am using two different config files which basically change the theme used (one theme for MAME, other for emulator) - ith different start pages, backgrounds, etc.. but my MAME one shows the emulator background even though it isn't in the THEME folder. Any idea's?

Whats the options to enable/disable to run just one Emulator within GameEx. I would like to setup different config files (which I have done) but only have the Emulator Name showing on the start page (along with search, exit, etc) I just need to tweak the config files to remove all unwanted items - just MAME left on there - so how do I disable MAME in GameEx and make sure that Emulator #1 is the only think showing on the Start Page. Just a few questions if anyone would be so kind as to help... 1. How do I change the icon images and background images. (do they need to be a certain size?) I know I probably have to edit a config file, but which one please? (and where in file) 2. Can you also run different config files via GameEx via the command line? 3.
