Gotta throw my props in as well! Been registered a good while now and this is the best frontend out there hands down!

I am talking about the artwork files in your /Artwork directory (ZIP Format). These are used to display old bezel artwork and other overlay pics around your smaller MAME games (Like border artwork for 1943 and the like that don't fill out the whole screen). I have all the files you can get off MAME.net but I can't get them to show up.

I can't get any of the artwork files to show when I launch a game in GameEx. I have the .ZIP files in the right directory and I have told Mame32 where it is and still no artwork. What am I missing?

I have noticed a lot of folks are interested in remotely accessing their MAME machine with GameEx running. I had tried that a while back but found some software which I have to say was a lot easier for me. Check out SmartDock's Multiplicity. Basically it works where if you move your mouse to the far left or right of your screen, you suddenly gain control of the computer beside you. It is meant to control multiple computers on the same desk (kind of like a virtual KVM) but I have found that using it to access my machine is so much easier and faster than anything else... granted you need to have your machine visually available to your other PC (Mine is next to my PC Desk). Thanks Tom, I went ahead and switched the file to something a bit more versatile. I really do love this program. I have an Ultimate Arcade II wilh a 17" monitor sitting on top of it tilted down displaying all of this game data. It looks really cool!

I went ahead and installed a second monitor and I love the program! One thing I would like to change though is the "Nintendo 64" image that is shown whenever there isn't an image to view. I would rather have a MAME or a GameEx image. Nintendo 64 doesn't make sense when I am doing MAME stuff. Also, the box on the bottom right is kind of empty. Is there any way to have the History scroll or something like that. One last thing, in the upper left, it has a snapshot of the current screen but I think if it could have the snap from the game or even the video that would be really cool.

Problem turned out to be unrelated. Don't know why but my Right Control was activated. A reboot fixed it. Might have been a problem with my keyboard encoder or something.

GameExtender Feature Request I am loving this new feature! I would like to see a way to config it so that you can change the refresh rate, maximize the pictures when running in an internet browser and also config what is displayed. I noticed that when I hover over something (CPanel, Flyer, etc), that is what is displayed. I would like to see a rotation of these files. Also noticed a bug, my screensaver doesn't seem to work any longer in GameEx 5.40

I am having trouble getting this to work and I am not sure what the problem is... I believe it has to do with my network but I am not sure. Here is what I have: 192.168.2.136 - My MAME machine running GameEx 192.168.2.2 - My computer I want to run the viewer on I also have my true IP Address. I have tried running different IP's in both the viewer and the extender part of the config but I can't get anything to work at all. Any configs on this would be helpful. I tried running the viewer on my second computer and also I tried to do it in a web browser (Firefox and Explorer) but I can't connect to anything with any variance of settings.

I thought this did post to Feature Requests. I must have missed something and put it in the wrong spot. Sorry about that!

I have been using GameEx for a while now and I have noticed a strange problem. I can't get any of my King of Fighters games to show up. There may be others not showing up but I was looking for them and they are not there. I opened up all the options in the Config but even with 5000+ games in the list, they were still absent. I checked in Mame32 and they worked fine. I have everything updated to .103 and I still can't figure why they aren't showing up! Nothing in my filter would keep them out. Has anyone else had this problem? I actually used to have this problem with Golden Tee games but somewhere along the way it corrected itself.. some update perhaps; I really don't know.
