Yes, I updated everything and the ROM path is correct. I will try deleting the Verify.dat and see if that helps.

I am having a really weird problem with MAME. I recently updated all of my ROMs and CHDs to 0.147 so when I went to update the list, it decreased the number of roms from something like 6K to only 135. I don't know what is causing this and I have run it several times, all with the same result. Am I missing something here? log.txt

Yeah... I'm an idiot. I went back to grab the log and checked it out. Advanced MAME wasn't working so it disabled MAME. FIXED!

I have no idea why but I can't get MAME to show anywhere in GameEx anymore. I have it set up like I always have but since the last update, it doesn't appear on the main page when it is set to do so and it doesn't appear under Emulators when it is there. I am stumped. I have played MAME via Mame32 and it works fine... but not in GameEx.

That was the first thing I checked. It has always been at those settings...

I'm the only one to ever have this problem, aren't I? I can't figure it out...

I just noticed that none of the MAME games or EMU games are displaying either the history/database information or the recommended games at the bottom of the list. It used to do this with no issue but now it is gone. I checked the settings and each EMU has the database selected and I have the latest history.dat file. Any ideas?

I changed the settings 20 different ways and updated the list all day yesterday. I fixed it though... it wasn't GameEx and it wasn't the games. I updated MAME from .127 to .128 and suddenly, there they were again! I don't really get it but I will take it where I can.

I don't know about the MAME/NEO GEO matching up... I will go ahead and download something new. I don't recall ever seeing a version number alongside a NeoGeo download though. I will poke around the net... As for the emu/mame question, I was running it through MAME. I didn't move anything or change anything... it just disappeared.

My NeoGeo games have disappeared... I don't know why but they are gone. I still have the ROMs and the option to display them is set to yed but when I actually go to it, it says NO GAMES FOUND. Where did they go and why can't I list them??? Any ideas?

I don't use an intro video and I have K-Light Mega Codec pack installed which doesn't have an icon in the system tray. I really want to use Instant Sheller but it won't let KeyWiz load if I do that. As far as I can tell though, there isn't any other program running whatsoever. I don't get it.

I have no idea what it could be. There is nothing else running. Not only that, it is inconsistent. Sometimes it loads properly, sometimes it doesn't. Frankly, it is really pissing me off!!!

Ugh... this is all very new and confusing to me... also somewhat difficult to work on in the cab. The problem would no longer exist if GameEx would just stay maximized when it loads. Does anyone know why it is minimizing? It does it about 70% of the time too so I don't know why it does it sometimes but loads normally others. I don't have anything else running on this thing.

I'm afraid you guys are talking a bit over my head... Do you have a link that could walk me through what you are talking about? I have never crafted a logon script before...

I am using a KeyWiz40-ST on my system and when I start up my cab normally and open GameEx, I don't have a problem. When I use Instant Sheller, the KeyWiz software doesn't load properly and I lose my button configuration. If I disable Instant Sheller and put GameEx in the Startup folder, it loads with the proper keyset but for some reason, GameEx will only load minimized! How can I fix this???

I just uploaded my theme that I created for my Vertical Galaga Bartop that I made. I feel the need to explain it though. My cab is running just 55 MAME games and nothing else. I didn't do any graphics for the EMU's or anything like that and the resolution is strictly for a vertical cab. I figured some folks might be able to use it or modify it for their own purposes. Many thanks to Neverending Project over at BYOAC for the art. I didn't modify it at all and shamelessly stole it

I have run the Create Videos program which runs through all the games but doesn't actually create any files for some reason. It is saying REC START and REC STOP but I get nothing! Also, once it finishes the list of games, it just starts over in an endless loop. I have to shutdown and reboot to get it to stop.

I accidentally deleted a game I wanted to keep. I did an update list thinking that would flush it back out but it didn't. Is there a way to return the game to the list? Also, I have it selected to not display bezels which it does properly when playing a game but on the screensaver, there is always a bezel.

MAME 115 did the trick. That was a pain in in the ass!

Well I went with an older version of MAME (106) and now it is bypassing the disclaimer but for whatever unknown reason, the game is squeezed by about 50% and of course, nothing I do will fix it. Any suggestions?

I am having some difficulty getting this to work. I haven't used a compiler before but I followed the instructions and came to two problems. First, I didn't have a mameui.mak file or a winui folder to copy anywhere. I am using the latest MAME files etc... from the links on the initial post. When I tried to compile it without that stuff, I get: In file included from src/emu/cpu/m68000/m68kcpu.h:32, from src/mame/machine/fddebug.c:111: src/emu/cpu/m68000/m68k.h:32:22: error: m68kconf.h: No such file or directory mingw32-make: *** [obj/windows/mame/mame/machine/fddebug.o] Error 1 mingw32-make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... Not sure what to do...

I don't understand this... the disclaimer pages aren't going away. I got rid of them in the advanced config as well as in MAME 32 itself but they keep coming around. It wouldn't be such an annoyance but the screensaver won't get past them either so the system is just sitting on a disclaimer screen most of the time. Fix anyone?
