  1. Just click on the "?" button in the start bar on the top in the main screen.
  2. Yeah. Shark007 codecs are the way to go. I also use on my HTPC and everything plays great from all my videos, TV series, and GameEx. And they are in various formats. Don't ever doubt us. LOL. If someone says to try it then try it. Especially when it comes from the senior members.
  3. People! Speaking of downloading roms/games is forbidden! This is way too many violations in one topic. This can no longer continue! I've tried to be nice but next post will result in a warning. This is enough! Please read the Forum Guidelines and Rules. Any further posts by users who's posts were fixed must first read the rules and then verify they were read.
  4. Where and how is frowned upon. How is just as bad as where as it shows that roms/games were obtained illegally.
  5. In this case then I would start with a goodset or tosec set and then filter those out since those are complete sets with hacked versions, bad dumps, etc.
  6. Please watch your wording guys! Please review the Forum Guidelines and Rules. Posts have been adjusted.
  7. Well it's just a modified set from what I remember. We can build our own sets based on filters in Dat-o-Matic or even using rom management tools to filter out what exactly we want.
  8. I use all for collection purposes but only use one set per setup. I don't mix them at all. As far as videos and pics, I haven't done much to that part of my system yet except for the basics. I usually go with No-Intro > Good > No-Intro > Misc. Just depends what I'm emulating. What is it that you're trying to accomplish? Are you trying to prune out duplicates from different sets? You could probably whip something up that would do that or something like a rom manager can help with it but it's still a lot of work to do so.
  9. In Setup Wizard, in Advanced Emulator Setup you click on the button next to the Advanced Config setting for this emulator. Then in GameEx Advanced Config Editor click on the Process Wait tab. There you add the processes to wait for. Then just save and when returned back to Setup Wizard, just select your saved advanced config from the dropdown.
  10. Something has got to be wrong if your Reduce CPU Utilization setting isn't being saved. Other than that it's still cosmetic in relation to this.
  11. I am unable to duplicate. Settings are saved when making a preference. Also chainging that particular setting also is saved when changing. The radio button checked is the only thing that is not saved which again is purely cosmetic. I'd have to see the results. Maybe remote me in after awhile.
  12. Yes it would. And it's something that all apps should do anyways when something is happening. Even a splash screen would work so that it shows that it's loading. So there's 3 possibilities there.
  13. Yeah right. You know you have more requests.
  14. Maybe a feature request should be that it shows that it's doing something. Like an icon or a progress bar showing that it's loading. I notice that at first also and can be confusing to new users. Almost seems like the app is not working at first and it takes a few to load.
  15. Patience. LOL.
  16. No problem! Yes it appears that it's different for consoles. So remapping for those games to your liking is the way to go. Marking Topic as resolved! Enjoy!
  17. MAWS! It appears so. I'm sure they all will be.
  18. Well if it's the version from your player id card then that's to be expected.
  19. This depends on your layout. What type of controls are they? What's the layout of your buttons? Perhaps look through the existing layouts for common controls to get an idea.
  20. The MESSUI.ini file probably got corrupted somehow or something is messed up on it. I would delete this file and see if it will run normally then. This will however erase your setting for MESSUI. I would backup this file before deleting to be safe. If that doesn't work then again, I'd have to test myself to see what's going on.
  21. I'd have to test this to see what exactly is going on. What version are you running? As far as a command-line, there is command-line options available. There is also a way to create a config as in MAME to make things even easier and the command-line more clean. To create the config do the following from command prompt: mess64.exe -cc This will create a config called mess.ini which you can then edit. The command-line option for that would be (taken from the help file): MESS Command-line option-[no]waitvsyncWaits for the screen to draw before drawing the next frame (reduces tearing of graphics)-waitvsync meaning to wait and -nowaitvsync meaning not to wait.
  22. Thanks for the news Circo!
  23. It seems like it's a message box in a loop going through all the fonts in code. Maybe was used for testing and was forgotten to be removed for release. Thanks for the report guys. Am sure Tom will fix soon.
  24. I was also able to duplicate this. Also running Windows 7 64-bit.
