  1. I might be just the opposite...I think it's quite tedious with all the updating, moving files and what-not. I love firing up the cabinet to play some Asteroids, Galaga, or Visual Pinball.
  2. Vancouver, WA
  3. I was thinking of doing it for my friend and his cabinet (I've bought my license) but that S.O.B. needs to pony up to Tom for this wonderful software!
  4. Very nice...A winner!
  5. Oh, those are nice! Thanks for sharing
  6. I've stuck with an older version of command-line MAME that still has high scores. what's the point of the cab if I can't brag/intimidate my friends?!?! I have no skillz to compile my own version, so I'm probably still at 109 or whenever they stopped hiscore support. I agree, no reason to run MAME32 underneath GameEX....remove one layer of GUI and let the awesome GameEX do its job!
  7. Yeah, check out Brian's pack first (double entendre?) I think you have to run each table at least ONCE to select all the PinMAME rom options but after setting them once, they won't pop back up (unless you update the roms) Was that any help?
  8. Yeah I have my cab with a wireless card in it, it's ok since most update files are small and it doesn't take long to transfer over the network. When I build my next cab, I'm going to put a cat6 connection on it so I can connect it wired if need be.
  9. Amen Brian...it's worth TWICE the asking price.
  10. I thought people were recommending 64 bit now to get games like NFL Blitz working full speed?
  11. That is looking mighty slick! is it heavy or light to move around? are things secure enough to move from room to room?
  12. I don't think you can map with an Arcade CP....the N64 uses two joysticks doesn't it? You'd be better off using a joypad for N64 games.
  13. That's more like a fine sculpture than a cabinet!

    Spam PM?

same deal...it's garbage..i assume the link is to virus/adware/spam or some other sh1t
  15. I have my wife's old car amp in the garage...thought about installing it in my cab, but for now the 2.1 speakers are doing alright for arcade emulation...spose if I have a party and want the jukebox on, I might wish for some more speaker power, but I don't wanna figure out the wiring for the amp at this time
  16. Yeah, thankfully(?) Along with building MY Mame PC, I'm building one for my buddy for the cabs we're building...I have a backup right next to my main PC if anything goes wrong <knock on wood>

    my arcade build

WOW! that's nice! looks like it has a ton of speakers in it! Are you using it for a jukebox as well? How about some system specs of the cabinet.
  18. Speaking of NexGen I love this theme..any chance it could be made from Blue to Red?
  19. Love the jukebox. I'm using it for an external app: SKJukebox Thank you! (The blue fits in well with the theme I've been running forever: NexGen)
  20. I scan these forums almost daily looking for new updates. Thanks for the continued support Tom. GameEX is my favorite program (maybe next to MAME)
  21. Tom, using the Advanced Configuration...under Enable/Disable Features (3) -> "Enable All Games List" = no
  22. I've noticed that "All Games" will show up on the list even when you turn it off. Upon startup, All Games is at the top of the list, but if you go to a sub-menu and then back to the main menu, "All Games" will disappear. Somewhat annoying
  23. Figured it out, this was my Daphne command line in GameEX vldp -fullscreen -x 640 -y 480 -nohwaccel -useoverlaysb 1 -bank 0 10011001 -bank 1 01100011 Seems Cliffhanger didn't like the -useoverlays command, took that out and it works fine now.
  24. I don't see GameEX sending anything out of the ordinary when launching Cliffhanger. I tried setting Daphneloader service-mode button to one of the function keys and it still loads to the service menu. I can eventually exit out of the service menu by hitting a key or two (haven't figured out what actually exits I just hit buttons)
  25. I recently upgraded my Daphne Cliffhanger to the 'restored' version. Every time I try to run it in GameEX it goes into service mode, but if I run it from DaphneLoader it plays fine. Can someone help me out? Thanks
