Codecs...no clue. I simply installed PBX and ran with it w/ Windows 7. I will get the files you requested. Should I install a certain codec to improve the issue? Thanks Bill

Ok I have videos only for every table available through PBX. But when browsing the selection of tables, I get constant stuttering as the tables rotate around. Seems like if I dont use videos but rather static PF images, its stutter free. Is this just the norm if I decide to use PF videos in PBX? Is this a issue due to my 3.0GHz Core2duo 4GBRAM PC? Short of hardware changes assuming thats the issue, is there any thing that can be tweaked to make the browsing of the tables, more smooth? Thanks Bill

I loaded 2.02 and it seems to be working better. Maybe there was a bug in 1.99. Thanks

In the media folder, there is another folder (something sounds), there is a .wav called launch...but it wont play. When you open it, it instantly closes without making a sound. The other .wav files in that same folder play fine. Weird. Maybe you guys can try to play it and determine if the .launch.wav is the file that plays when you select a table. If anyone can make it play, I would be grateful if soeone can send it to me. Thanks Bill

Topic back from the dead. I am also seeing some minor FPS drop and slight video stuttering running PBX 1.99. I am running a Core2Duo 3GHZ, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 7600 video with Windows7 64bit, 3-monitors w/ B2s. Performance in VP not going through PBX, is totally smooth as silk. Regarding this from Tom: Also PinballX continues to render the backglass and 3rd monitor when running unless you tell it not to. That may be the issue. Can I get some more information on this please? Are these setting in 1.99? Any other tweaks I need to consider? Thanks Bill

I am running Gameex...not lite. I will look at lite and see if that is what I need. Again I just want to boot Gameex and as soon as its loaded, be able to select games without selecting this and that first.

Draco, That worked. Thanks. One more question. When Gameex is booted, I would prefer it to start directly at the screen where you can browswe and select MAME games. Currently when Gameex is booted, I have to select from a single option in the middle of the screen called "All MAME games". It the proceeds to the browsing menu. Is there a setting I can set that will allow it to boot directly to the MAME browsing menu? Thanks

I just loaded up some other themes and the tiles appear there as well. There has got to be a setting somewhere to either show list or tiles when browsing games. Help. Thanks Bill

Im using this vertical Galaga theme: http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/521-vertical-galaga/ Even in the above snapshot, I see the list I want. On my current setup, I have game tiles instead. If anyone could kindly load this theme and help me determine how to get the list, I would greatly appreciate it. Is there any chance that there is a setting in Gameex MAME settings? Bill

Hello, When I run Gameex for MAME, when its time to browse and select games, I get graphical "tiles". They are arranged 3X wide by lots of rows deep. I just find it very cumbersome to find the desired game. I would much prefer to have a simple list of the games, not the tiles. How can I do this? Thanks Bill

Ok I am adding command-line MAME and Gameex to my 3-screen Pinball cabinet but I need some help with display setup. I dont want "full-screen" display because its simply too big. I have found that turning on the Arcade VGA setting in Gameex settings (Display) makes for a very nice screen size in the middle of the main screen. Ideally, I want to use the 40" LED TV (playfield in the cab) for all MAME games...vertical and horizonatl formats. I currently have the Vertical formats working fine but when a horizontal game loads, is stretched into a vertical format. I want these horizontal format games to appear properly on the screen. Is it possible to have both format screen appear properly on the 40" TV (playfieldscreen) in my cab without having the horizontal screen size affected? Any help appreciated. Thanks

I have various MP3s loaded in the ambience folder for PBX to listen to while browsing for a table. But they always seem to play in the same order. Is it possible to have the MP3s in this folder play in a random order? Thanks
