  1. None of them will play fullscreen. Avi, mpeg, ogm, divx, xvid, nothing. It will play the previews on the side fine except the ogm files, but it will not play anything fullscreen like it should.
  2. That's the build that I was using at first. It will play a preview on the side of the screen of the video I'm trying to play, but when I select play, the screen goes black, something minimizes then maximizes then I end up back at the GameEX menu. I've tried four different builds of FFDSHOW and nothing works. I've tried going through the options in the multimedia/htpc section, but nothing will work. I don't see why it will show a preview but not play it when I select play. It shouldn't be a codec problem or a player problem.
  3. For some reason, when I go to watch the videos I've added in the multimedia-video section, they will not play. A preview of them plays on the side perfectly fine, but when I select to watch the video, the screen goes black for a second, and then it comes right back to GameEX. I can see something mininize then maxmize in the black area, but I don't know what it is. I have FFDSHOW beta 2 installed. I've looked through like 10 pages of forum posts and can't find anything that will help. I've seen someone mention using the emulator setup for to play videos by changing the filter to avi, but surely there's got to be a better way than that. Also, when going through the list of folders in the video section, it displays a folder icon. Is there anyway to replace that with a photo, like a Seinfeld photo for the Seinfeld folder, etc. Any info would be great.
  4. Thanks. I guess I should've read the readme file. It's working great now, and it's a very nice looking theme.
  5. I just came across this cool looking theme and decided to give a try. Unfortunately, it crashes when I try to use it. The error log says something about Alien League not being found. Is that a font or something that I need to download to get it to work? Any info would be great.
  6. I went to the thread that Momaw27 linked to and used the MagicEngine_Loader file, created ini files for all my CDs, and put a copy of the syscard3.pce file in the emu folder with the pce.exe file. It works great now. Thanks again for the help.
  7. Thanks for all your help. It took forever, but I finally got it all working perfectly now. It seems like each emu I add is progressively more difficult. I thought Daphne was tough, but it was easy compared to the TG-CD. Once again, thanks for your help!
  8. Ok, I used the INI file and it almost worked. Now it will load Magic Engine, but instead of just booting the CD it goes to the Magic Engine menu and I still have to manually select Boot CD from the list. Do you know of any way to go straight to the PC Engine CDROM2 Press Start screen? I thought maybe I could do something in the Magic Engine config file, like disable the GUI or something, but there's nothing to change there. Thanks for the help, and any further info would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I'm trying to play the actual discs through Magic Engine 1.0. I don't know how to make a bat file, unfortunately. I'm not a computer wiz like some people around here. Any additional info would be great.
  10. By the way, should GameEX boot straight to the game, or just to the PC Engine CDROM2 Press Start screen?
  11. Ok, this is really getting on my nerves. I cannot get GameEX to load the Turbografx CD games no matter what I do. I've used the config file posted on this site, I've set all my settings to what has been said, and nothing works. The config posted above has the rompath going to a directory titled Turbografx CD roms, which makes no sense if you're booting from a disk. Also, GameEX has changed a lot, so half the things listed in the config aren't even listed in the newest version of GameEX. Does anyone have a new config file for the TG-CD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Cool video! I've got Daphne up and running great now thanks to your video. I was having trouble getting the framefile stuff to work, but not now. The only thing now is getting Daphne mapped to my PS2 controller. I can't seem to get it to work right.
  13. I've tried messing with the settings, but nothing seems to work. This happens on both my TV and monitor.
  14. This doesn't pertain to Gameex so much as it does just a video card problem. I have two PCs, one with an ATI 9600 and an ATI 1650 HDMI. I've noticed that with both cards, when I'm playing old games like NES, SNES, etc. I can see a redraw line moving down the screen. It does this on pretty much all the emus for 2D games, NESTOPIA, ZSNES, GENS, etc. It gets pretty annoying because it makes thinks look choppy, though the games frame rate and speed all all normal. Any suggestions would be great.
  15. Thanks for the info. When I used Instantsheller before, I could never get Windows to function properly afterwards. The screen would stay black and I could never get the desktop to re-appear. Even by pressing ctl alt del, going to task manager, and entering explorer.exe in new task, all it would do was bring up the my documents folder but not the desktop. Even by disabling Instantsheller through that process, it never fixed anything. From what I could find out, it seems as though my boot.ini file was corrupted or something. I'm no computer wiz, but I looked on the net for a solution and nothing worked. Thus, I had to re-install Windows and start from scratch.
  16. Ok, a short while back I set up GameEX and attempted to use Instantsheller. Everything worked great for about a day, then everything went haywire and I ended up having to re-install Windows. So, because of this I will not use Instantsheller again. Now, I notice that there's an option to use something called HideOS. I've read that it hides the desktop and icons like Instantsheller did. Is HideOS safer than Instantsheller? I'd like to hide the desktop, but I have everything set up perfect now and I don't want to risk losing everything again. Any info would be great.
  17. Well, I finally got Mekaw working, though the control setup is buggy. I can't change the buttons without them all going to the z axis when I click on them in the config. However, I erased the mekaw.cfg and it auto detected the controller at restart with a default setup that I can use. If that all sounds like gibberish, well, it's not working the way I planned, but it's working nonetheless. Thanks for your help though.
  18. Ok, I've got my setup working great, with the exception of the SMS. I've tried virtually every emu from Zophar.net and none will work properly. I've tried Kega Fusion, including with the CHQ ini file, and it just goes to a small window and freezes. Sometimes it's a white screen, sometimes it makes screeching noises, but it never works right. It works fine outside of Gameex though. I tried Mekaw but it will not detect my controller. I'm using a PS2 controller though USB plug. No D-pad detection at all. All the others go to black screen, then back to Gameex. Any info would be great.
  19. Has anyone been able to get M2 0.5 working with Gameex? I tried getting it to work through the config program, but no such luck. Any suggestions? I'd love to play Daytona USA through GameEX.
  20. Thanks for your help. I got it all working now.
  21. Thanks for the tip! Xpadder works great. There's just one little thing I'm trying to figure out. Most games don't use that many buttons, so I can just set ESC to L2 and exit that way. However, the N64 controller uses a lot of buttons, so I'd like to use L2 for something other than an exit button. I can't get PJ64 to detect the second analog stick, so I have to map the C buttons to all the other gamepad buttons. So, my question is, is there a way with Xpadder to have two gamepad button presses activate the ESC, like pressing L2 and R2 combined activate ESC? I know how to make one gamepad button activate multiple keypresses, like ALT+F4 by pressing L2, but I'd like to make it do the opposite. L2+R2 activates ESC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. I've tried going to gameex/config/emulators and editing the customimput.ini where you can put "true" at a certain button where it says gamepadexit, but it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All I want is to map ESC to a button on the PS2 controller so I can exit all emulators with one button.
  23. I'm using a PS2 controller through a USB adapter and I have it working great, with one exception. Can you map the ESC key to a button on the PS2 controller? That will give me full control of GameEX with the controller. I'm a bit of a newbie, so forgive me if this has already been explained thoroughly.
