  1. i noticed this too recently with my sega genesis roms.. it just started happening so i dont know what caused it.. all my roms appear as the file name and not the game name.
  2. i cant get xpadder to work with my controllers.. windows wont see them in gamepads either, thats why joy2key works for me. so is there a way in joy 2 key to make a saved setting for nes or snes run automatically when the rom is launched from gameex?
  3. i can setup my controllers within a game ex setting for each emulator? where is this setting?
  4. anyone use this? well i'm running 4 different emulators within gameex, but its a bit confusing setting up my 2 playstation 2 controllers to control every game.. is there a way to make a different profile in joy 2 key ( i know you can make profiles) but can i make a profile for each emulator and somehow have it recognize when the emulator is launched to use those specific button layouts?
  5. yeah it does it regardless of how long i've been playing the game. Thanks for looking into it
  6. I cant believe nobody else has this issue.
  7. When a song is playing in the jukebox and i launch a mame game, the song fades out and fades back in when i quit the mame game. When a song is playing and i launch nintendo, super nintendo or a n64 game, the song cuts out and then when i quit the song starts over from the beggining.. any way to fix this?
  8. i installed arcade VGA and now when i launch games from gameex i get bad 1-2 second controller lag. I get no lag when launching the games from windows mame.. anyone have any ideas?
  9. actually my problem is i'm using a custom laid out theme i made, and only when i go to the jukebox page does gameex crash.. i have to make the font -3 for it to not crash, and that is too small. Is there a way to make the fonts on just the jukeobox page smaller than all the other pages?
  10. i finally got an arcade monitor and i need to increase the font list size because its harder to read on this monitor.. no matter what setting i change in the advanced settings display part about fonts.. they stay the exact same size..
  11. yea can i add my problem here? -When i have music playing and i go to play an emulator other than MAME, the song with restart at the begining after i come out of the game.
  12. thanks. any idea about the music starting and stopping when i start emulators?
  13. i've just started messing with the jukebox. When a song is playing and i start a mame game it will fade out the song, then when i quit the game the song will resume playing. On all my other emulators the song just cuts out when starting the game, then when i quit the game the song restarts from the beginning. I've looked through the emulator settings but can't find where to change this.. also i have no controls for the jukebox, no play stop or anything. When i start a song by pushing enter the song plays.. but in order to stop it and play a new song i have to go to clear playlist. I have controls set for ON in the settings.
  14. well i've gotten down pretty good.. changed the win xp boot screen, then it boots up with no windows messages or anything to the desktop for about 10 seconds, which i have the task bar hidden and moved to the top of the screen, with a mame desktop background.. then after staring at the desktop for about 10 second gameex loads.
  15. mine does something similiar.. when i exit a project 64 game i get the windows error beep, and an error box for a split second, but it always returns to the game ex menu like it should.. dunno if i can fix it.
  16. so i don't want to use instant sheller.. any other ways to make gameex start up fast with boot?
  17. just a heads up, i installed ffdshow cause i was having choppy video playback in gameex, and when i went to run gameex all i got was a black screen. trying a new codec pack now.
  18. my video driver doesnt have a tray icon. i have no apps that load except for the few ones you can't turn off. It works by putting the gameex.exe in the start menu folder but my only problem is it takes so long for it to actually start up.. about 30 seconds once the computer is booted up before it initializes into gameex.
  19. so i tried this and it didnt work. Gameex tries to start up and simply crashes with an error screen, an error about direct draw.
  20. so i should right click shell and hit modify, then in value data i should put c:\program files\gameex\gameex.exe
  21. Right now, i have Gameex setup to boot when the computer is turned on. The way i did this is by placing the gameex.exe file in the windows startup folder. This works fine, the only thing i dont like is it takes about 10-15 seconds after windows has booted to launch. I tried instant sheller but it pretty much messed up my computer somehow and i had to reformat. I'm not comfortable using it anymore. Is there any other way to make gameex bootup faster when starting the computer?
  22. yea after i posted this i realized i was an idiot, i just forgot they show up on the info page.
  23. i downloaded all the box art/cartridges for nes, but i've tried multiple themes and they never show up in gameex. Is there an option that i can't find to turn cartridge and box art on?
  24. i just registered and wanted to create video snaps for nes/snes/n64. However when i do it in fullscreen it does absolutely nothing, and when i run gameex windowed i have to hit escape to get a video codec menu, so i select whichever, and then it just seems to play the first game in the list nonstop until i hit escape. Can anyone explain the work arounds to making video snaps?
