    EMULATOR HELP

Try turning on debug mode for each emulator, and see if that provides any useful information. Teach a man to fish...
  2. Happy Birthday GC!
  3. Set this: USeAdvanceMame=True to: USeAdvanceMame=False
  4. I don't think that it possible. There is a setting 'Auto Exit Games After' allows GameEx to exit a game after a set period of time. Perhaps you could use that, and then the screensaver would kick in after return to GameEx.
  5. Things to check: Your rompath (And paths in general) looks wonky: RomPath=Q:\Roms\\NEC TurboGrafx-16\Roms You have roms in 7z plus roms in folders enabled. Is that correct? (Seems unlikely) You are using a map file.
  6. I thought kids were supposed to keep you younger?
  7. Very nice write-up in your first post. Thanks for sharing the complete solution!
  8. Are you keeping that phone just in case someone from the Matrix calls?
  9. Window Spy comes with AutoHotkey. Before you try anything else, try adding either Esc::ExitApp or KeyWait, Esc, D ExitApp to your script. I'm assuming that you are using {Escape} as the key to exit your emulators.
  10. The reason that your script continues to run while the others do not is because you have hotkeys in your script. A script automatically becomes Persistent if it has hotkeys. There are numerous ways to handle it. Nullpointer's advice on WinWaitClose, or Process, WaitClose is a good place to start. Draco is correct about using TSKill, but If your scripts are all named differently it would be difficult to implement. It's too bad that you can't use and Advanced Emulator Config for Steem. With an advanced config, not only can you remap keys, but you can also close additional processes. Sounds like a feature request to me. :-)
  11. Didn't you write an app regarding your dad and computers?
  12. Assuming that the roms are in folders, you could use [Rompath]\[Rom]\whateverthenameofthegameis I'm sure from your post that is not the only problem though.
  13. I have it as: higan-accuracy.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" I'm not sure if it works though...
  14. Adultery - It occurred to me yesterday that re-arranging games in the list was something that I did in Mame by modifying the gameslist.txt. You win.
  15. Both Adultery and I have apps to create mapfiles if you want to create your own. You will find them on our respective users project pages.
  16. It's not that I don't believe you, but in 2010 when I wrote my app it wasn't that way. I'm not going to bother to test and see, because I don't care.
  17. Actually I'm almost certain that if you use a map file, you can arrange them however you want. I took advantage of that with my Map File Magician app to allow the user to do things like putting all basketball games together in the list, etc.
  18. I would start by not using the map file. The map file tells GameEX that you only want to see those roms. As the map file only has 386 lines, that is the most that you would see in GameEx. You may also have to delete any .cache files associated with the emulator t see the change, but those will rebuild themselves, so no big deal if you have to delete them.
  19. I made a mistake when I said post your mame.ini. I should have said post your Mame\cfg\default.cfg. That is the file that would indicate your key bindings in general. When you create settings per game, mame creates a file for each game that has per game settings in the cfg folder. If you changed Pacman, there would be a mame\cfg\pacman.cfg file. The fact that you can set keys per game but not globally would indicate to me that either your default.cfg is write protected, or there is a permission issue.
  20. IIRC there is a mameui.ini, and a mame.ini. Post the entire contents of your mame.ini
  21. No, not Di vs Raw. I would think that you could configure the game pad directly in Mame without Xpadder? Or am I missing something?
  22. I didn't care for either one of them. What's the point in having your own witch unless you are going to take advantage of it? Stupid. Same goes for Tony on that other show.
  23. You should be able to configure it within Mame itself. Press the {tab} key while in Mame, then find the section to change the input for all games.
  24. Congratulations Mr. Dazzle!
  25. AcidBrain is an old theme as well. that thing has been here as long as I have.
