  1. I am trying to clean up a few game directories. For sega CD and/or Saturn do the .Mp3 sound files need to be extracted from the .rar in the same directory as my image or can I leave the sound files in .RAR format.
  2. I turned on roms in folders option for this, however if I put my images into folders gameex no longer recognizes any of them. Any command line trick for this or is it not yet working?

First off your weird for copyrighting your post, anyway. Do not use the stock drivers. I tell you now, if your using it for mame you cannot use those. You must get smog and your thing will run like a dream just search for them on google.
  4. Well for some reason I have all my standard Main topics "Mame, Favorites, Last Played, etc" However My Emulated Games is missing... Only thing I have changed since this just happened is move some games from D: to F: and changed the paths accordingly in Gameex Config. I looked in Enable/Disable and seen nothing about shutting off the Emulated Games Menu... Update the menu is back.. sorry, weird. But if you could still answer the following question. Thanks And a Side note, I moved my Sega CD titles to seperate directories for organization. Do you have to extract the .mp3 files from the RAR for the game to use them or can I leave them zipped? Also they are no showing up on my list if I put them in there own folders and changed to search in folders under gameex config. Does this option not work for cd images?
  5. I have a Athlon 4000+ 2gb ram 6800gt. My PS1 games run too fast. Is there a way to slow these down somehow so they play properly on the computer?

I use a Playstation 2 adapter with gamex and mame, its USB and works for menus and games. I use pinnacle for 3DO only.. doesn't effect my gameex at all with my usb stick in mame

Nice program Kenclops. Works good. Any thoughts on getting a mouse to work so I could use my LCD TOPGUN with the shooting games?
  8. Well I am not really surprised by this but a bit bumbed. I was able to setup my Dolphin emulator in Gameex for Super Smash Brothers But its virtually unplayable due to the high graphics. I have a nice pc 4000+ 6800GT 2gb ram etc. I assume all GC emulations are pretty much unplayable for everyone due to the graphics or is their a trick to getting the frame rate smoothed?

    3DO Gamex

Thank you I got it working. However can you get any of the controls to work except keyboard? You can choose between mouse and joystick neither work for me. Any luck for you?

Happy New Year Everyone. I am using FreeDO 1.8 and gameex. I am having some issues setting it up though. Freedo works very similar to SSF for saturn however I cannot seem to get it to use my daemon tools mounted image as opposed to burning the cd. I am sure Freedo offers this option anyone have theres working can help me out?

Yea there are 2 versions R3000 and Regular.. both run the same but regular one loses sound in the middle of lvl 2... so I use the r3000. Anyway. I dunno only game I cannot run smooth is some Saturn games Full screen, Blitz for mame and Carnevil for mame. I think one of the gauntlets run poorly too. My mame machine has fairly nice specs Athlon 64 4000+ 2gb corsair xms 160gb wd 16mb cache nvidia 6800gt 256mb
  12. Yea there is still an issue. Not sure what part of the process I can take care of this or if at all. For example the BGM is LOUD, much louder than the game sound once you get the cue files running. In die hard arcade all you hear is the music, In options you can set the BGM Vol Level but it does not work even if you put it at zero it still gives max sound. I wonder if there is a trick to turning down the output levels some where during the conversion...

Yea I mean theres quite a few even though most are dated. I got all the house of the deads in PC format and they play great too since mame doesnt have them. I havent tried it on my sega cd emulator yet but if that works theres some great American laser games in that set that will be fun.. Max force and Area 51 were my reason for buying it so since they emulate perfect i am happy and am going to buy a second gun.
  14. Thank you for taking the time. This did work. Just have to make sure you encode the .Wav files into 44100hz or they will not mount. Thanks again
  15. If I label them as yours is FILE "Dead Or Alive.iso" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2048 INDEX 01 00:00:00 POSTGAP 00:02:00 FILE "Dead Or Alive 02.mp3" MP3 TRACK 02 AUDIO PREGAP 00:02:00 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "Dead Or Alive 03.mp3" MP3 TRACK 03 AUDIO INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "Dead Or Alive 04.mp3" MP3 I get "Unable to mount image. This track file type is currently unsupported" Im using the newest daemon and mounting direct.
  16. I got ssf working fine but I am having a problem with getting the .cue files to load. Without these I have no music and little sound. For example I have "Die Hard Arcade.iso" mp3 files are called "Die Hard Arcade 02.mp3" though 41.mp3 They are located in D:\EMULATORS\SSF\roms Here is my cue file if you could tell me why I get the error "Unable to mount image, File not accessible" in Daemon Tools FILE "Die Hard Arcade.ISO" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2048 INDEX 01 00:00:00 POSTGAP 00:02:00 FILE 02.WAV WAVE TRACK 02 AUDIO PREGAP 00:02:00 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE 03.WAV WAVE TRACK 03 AUDIO INDEX 01 00:00:00 track list goes on to 41 I tried switching the FILE line to "D:\EMULATORS\SSF\roms\Die Hard Arcade.ISO" BINARY With the same results. Thanks for the help

Let me tell you JT you were right and this thing works BETTER than I ever thought. I mean it is literally perfect. I did not even have to recalibrate or change screen resolution nothing just hopped game to game blowing things away. I am so happy thank you. My off screen reloads work for A51 and Maxforce but not for lethal enforcers 1 and 2. Is this a known issue?
  18. Ah ok cool thank you

Yea I tried to change the windows mouse settings it didnt do to much all the way maxed out. Mame doesn't seem to have sensitivity settings. I hate this gun. even if I do ever get it to work it will be an extreme pain in the ass everytime I want to play a game. Think I will just get rid of it and try a different kind
  20. Personally I think this front end is the best out there by a long shot and I use it so much the nag screen alone is worth 25 bucks, but it says it emails you a key. I never seen any registration screen where do you put the key in at?
  21. Thanks worked. The cue files when mounted say Track type not supported. There only mp3s..
  22. I will try that. Tell that to the creator of game ex he put the paths in not me

Hey Dave I noticed you said you love your topgun. I bought one a few days ago. It works flawless in windows and In mame it recognizes it and I set my X and Y axis as if it was a mouse, But the thing is super fast and erratic and sticks to the edges of the screen. I re calibrate with the AB button once I am in mame, doesnt matter, also cant even come close to calibrating in a F2 way because the thing is just crazy fast. I even got virtua cop for PC to see if its a mame thing, and while I could center the gun it was still WAY off and the games cursor couldn't come near catching up with it. Any suggesstions that you have for me? I am dying to play with this thing i have tried everything
  24. Ok I read the forums and tried for quite sometime various ways to get this before posting. I am using Daemon Tools V4.08HE Using SSF V.0.07 betaR6 SSF works 100% perfect out Gameex. My gameex command lines are the following C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]" C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe -unmount 0 If I go into command prompt and do a manual daemon.exe -mount 0, D:\emulators\ssf\roms\casper.iso It will mount the file with no problems or prompts. Unmounts fine also. So the commands do work Now When I go into Gameex and start my game I get an error from SSF saying "CD ROM DRIVE NOT READY" So I look and sure enough my game isnt mounted.. So what am I missing here?
