  1. I am trying to get 3do to run in gameex, It appears I need freedowrapper, could someone set up a fresh link for it the one on this site was dead. Thanks so much
  2. Tomorrow I will get my J-PAC for my arcade monitor, I am going to use Soft 15hz for my program to operate the Arcade monitor, As far as gameex goes, is there any settings I should change for it to look good or operate properly, I notice there is an option for ARCADEVGA card from ultimarc, should I turn this on if I am using an arcade monitor and not the actual arcadevga card? Thanks, I never hooked up a arcade monitor to a PC so this will be the first time, not real sure what to expect, or what order to hook it up.
  3. Yea Looks like soft15khz looks like the way to go, seems simple. Ill let you guys know once I get my Jpac how it turns out
  4. For the hertz issue I am going to use the program "Powerstrip" which was designed also to solve this issue, so I hear.
  5. I have gameex on my PC now for mame, fusion etc, I just got a Die hard arcade cabinet that I am converting to MAME, it has a 25" CGA monitor, I got a Jamma board and Jpac to get it hooked to the PC, I remeber seeing an option in Gameex settings to enable arcade monitor, I assume this drops it down to proper resolution so you can read the words in gameex, anyway my question I know Mame works well in arcade monitors but will Fusion for my genesis and sega cd emulator and my 3do emulator? Or can I only play mame games on my arcade monitor
  6. My 4 player stick assigns one of the Buttons for player 4 for to "L" In gameex when playing MAME if you hit button 4 on player 4 its brings up the control layout screen. If I just run through MAME it does not do this so it must be a feature of GAMEEX. I went through the advanced install where you can modify your buttons but did not see one to change this options letter. Thanks
  7. Ok I will uninstall and then do it that way. Thanks for the tip
  8. I just reformatted a hard drive to dedicate to my front end and cabinet, I have gameex installed on my old hard drive still with all my configs/paths etc, the way I like it. I have freshly installed gameex on this new drive, What do I copy over to my new install from the old one for it to know my settings, I know I have to change paths, but I dont want to re enter all that DAPHNE information etc and dont want to corrupt my new install by just dumping old install files over it. thanks! Nick
  9. Ok, Yea it wasn't about the register thing I was trying to bypass it was just the reconfiguring of it all. I want to just pop and play. Well If I can just copy my installed gameex directory over the fresh install and it will know my paths which I can just set in Control Panel- admin- computer managemnt then that sounds easy enough to me. thanks
  10. I just bought a new 500gb External drive I am going to dump my entire arcade collection on there. My question is can I install GAMMEX on this external drive, then bring it over to a friends house and boot gameex and my games up from his PC or is there going to be an issue with windows registry etc. I dont want to set up all these directories and such in gameex to find its not going to work.

Nice Nologic thanks for the tip there, you always have good ideas!
  12. How do you even play a emulated DS game anyway, I mean theres no stylus, does the emulator attempt to use the mouse?
  13. Ok I use mame pro special 1.06 on an ipaq4 , if i load mame standalone the CP works fine. When I load gameex I can can scroll the the game menus just fine everything works, when I load a game it immediately starts spamming the UP Arrow key which is my P1 up command. If I exit out and run MAME it works fine. I have had it working in gammex before, havent changed any settings.. If the CP works fine in gammex menus but when loading mame it goes to hell what could be the issue? *Update* I got a new cable and it fixed it. strange though
  14. I have never upgraded my gammex before, can I just download the new one and install it over the old directory or will it overwrite all my configs?
  15. The only thing I could think of is you would have to set it up as a seperate emulator or external program for those 2 games. Then you just make a batch file and have it run the batch file when you start the game. for example Just open notepad I don't know how joytokey works but something like cd\joytokey\joytokey.exe cd\feedingfrenzy\ff.exe and something similar for sega rally.. I did something like that for HOD
  16. what keyboard input are u using? I have an ipaq-4 and have a dedicated escape button. You should define that in your keyboard emulator software, not gameex. if you want the escape key to do something special in gameex you can run the setup program and go to custom keyboard input and define it otherwise it should work just fine.
  17. Well I got my CP done, pretty much anyway except a couple details heres a pic Anyways in gameex I can toggle through the menus but once I enter a sub menu such as my mame library my stick forces itself to "J" in the titles list. I just need to know how I configure my Gameex menu so that buttons 1 and 2 on player 1 are select and backup through the menus and up and down on p1 stick moves through the menus. thanks I am running an Ipaq4 if that makes a difference and P1 control is UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT ARROW KEYS and Button 1 is "T" Button 2 is "H"
  18. I had not installed .NET, I just did and it is working, thank you! I did not realize it because prior to formatting I had Visual studio installed and that was part of the package. thanks!
  19. I just formatted C: , Gameex is installed on D:\. I assume this error may be coming from a registry issue but I am unsure. I have no problem reinstalling gameex if I have to however I do have a problem losing my pics/themes/configs and whatever else is customizable. The error is "this appilication failed to iniitalize properly (0xc0000135) Click ok to terminate the application" does it on all gameex executables So how do I fix it or what dir. do I back up to reinstall
  20. Worked thanks!
  21. I Had to format my PC , My gameex drive and all directories for it point to D:\ When I formatted is assigned my dvdrw to D:\ and my gameex drive to F:\ how do I reverse this so I do not have to change all my directories in gameex config.
  22. Hey that program was awesome thanks ! Now you have to write something for gameex to support subs into sega cd
  23. Thanks dude I havent been able to test it yet because I am still making a duplicate of the files. I actually should have told you to make it copy the files instead of move but this will work fine. Thanks for taking the time I really appreciate it.
  24. God I love this forum. Yea I tried the tip you gave me to keep them in there subs a while back but it was to complex for me, With the HD space I have now I can have one directory subbed and one without since they are only 30g. Ill be back in a while to try the script I just got the prestige, been dying to see it
  25. Sorry I mean MOVING not Movies.. My sega CD collection Cue/ISO/mp3 game files are in there own subdirectory in my /segacd folder. For use with gameex I must drag them all into the root so they share the same directory. Is there a program or a command line to do this quickly without having to open each folder and drag and drop them into the root? Thanks!
