  1. Wait a second... Are you the creator of this GamebaseCPC that I have, idaneels ?
  2. I have Gamebase CPC v23... is that what you are using? (I see that there is also a AmstradMania gamebase) Anyway, I tried it in GamEX and indeed it would not launch the games. The GameEx log showed this error: Running: cmd.exe /c R: GBLAUNCHER.exe db="Amstrad CPC" id=1692 wait=1 Shutting down display 21 Consecutive Exceptions Occured Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Direct2D.Direct2d.Device.BeginScene(Boolean Clear, Color ClearColour) at GameEx.GameEx.mainform.c(Boolean A_0) at GameEx.GameEx.mainform.dw() Trying reinitialising the display after sleeping for 4 seconds Exception count will be dropped to 15 I noticed that the CPCE emulator was the default emulator in Gamebase, so I made WinAPE the first emulator under "Manage Emulators". GameEX now launches the game when I select it. (so this might be an issue with CPCE and the way it displays in fullscreen. Just a guess, I really don't know) Another thing I've found within this Gamebase CPC is that some games do not work with WinApe, while they do work with CPCE and vice versa. In the GameBase program you can right-click the "Play Game" button to choose which emulator to use for that game. I don't know how this could be replicated within GameEX. This Gamebase also has the emulators - Caprice32, JavaCPC and wincpc. I am not at all familiar with CPC so no idea which ones should be used.
  3. It's been an amazing night for British Athletics and a great day for the Olympics! Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford did us proud!
  4. It occurs to me that using GBLauncher.exe in the commandline might be a way to use gamebase and have video previews? The user myonions mentions it here - http://www.gameex.in...tor/#entry90669 Running GBLauncher.exe pops up a window with more info.
  5. For Amiga Gamebase, SPS and WHDload, try WinUAE Loader - http://www.gameex.in...ae-loader-v176/ Using it like this, you can also have the video previews too. (this is the only system that is gamebase related, that we can have videos for as far as I know) I'm getting Gamebase CPC and will report back if I have any issues.
  6. Excellent guide, especially the steem emulator part. (Never tried Atari ST emulation or an actual Atari ST )
  7. My setup isn't the best either - a core duo. FFX seemed a bit sluggish, was just testing it really. I have a PS2 also, so will be using that for any serious gaming for PS2. (I have a Wii, XBox 1, Xbox 360, PS3, DS and PSP too)
  8. Hehe, I noticed your location before. I was trying out PCSX2 v1.0 that was released recently.
  9. A unique look to these KRC... I like them too.
  10. Not to worry, my lips are sealed...
  11. I have all gamebase's in the main Gamebase folder. So for example: R:\Frontend\GameBase R:\Frontend\GameBase\Acorn Electron R:\Frontend\GameBase\Amiga Demobase R:\Frontend\GameBase\Commodore 64 .etc So you just set the Gamebase path in the GameEx setup wizard to - R:\Frontend\GameBase
  12. +1 for the track & field... Usain Bolt! ...also Jessica Ennis
  13. Do you have any other GameBases running in GameEX and are they working okay? I also have some GameBases in GameEX, but not for CPC. As for videos... this is not currently supported for GameBase, so I'm not sure if it would be possible as a feature in GameEx or not.
  14. The GameBase integration is one of my favorite features of GameEx! All you have to do is point to the path where the main GameBase folder is, and GameEx will see whatever system that you have added to GameBase. When I add a new Gamebase, I only need to add an entry for it in the custom menu editor. Of course you have to get it working with GameBase first, but that is usually trouble free. (haven't added Atari ST yet though ) In GameEx, you will get the main list of games (you won't get the games that are under GameBase "Extras" however) plus the screenshots, covers and other artwork. (music files too!) Oh, and I have 12 GameBase's running in GameEx and hope to get more in there soon!
  15. Excellent! Thanks!
  16. Thanks KRC - these look great! Much appreciated.
  17. The only issue I have is when I try to map a joystick button for the "Global Exit - Joystick Exit" to exit emulators from within GameEx. I know I can use the advanced emulator config to add exit to each emulator config (which is probably what I'll do), but if there was an easier fix, then that would be even better.
  18. I also have been meaning to setup something like this in GameEx... thanks nullPointer!
  19. I use motionjoy to connect my PS3 controller via bluetooth. The latest version is 0.7.1001 , but I rolled back to the previous version 0.6.0005, as it did not work as well. http://www.motioninjoy.com/ Motionjoy has profiles where windows will see it as the following controllers: PS1 PS2 PS3 Xbox360 (emulated) It works very well in my setup.
  20. I have been using it recently, and currently it is the best PSP emulator. Depending on the game, you will get varying results. Some will run ok-ish, some very sluggish, and some not at all. PSN minis work well too, although some of the more 3d intensive games may not run. There are probably settings I could try to get some games to run, but I haven't really looked too much into it yet. You can get the JPCSP launcher which has commandline launching too now, plus has many settings you can fiddle about with. This is what the devs say regarding sytem requirements: One other thing, to get background music and other sounds to play in some games, you will need to install Sonicstage, which is free. 21. This happened to me too when I selected "change view". What I had to do was keep changing the view until it displayed the default blue media center background. Then restart GameEX and it should be back the way it was... hopefully
  22. Thank You
  23. Excellent! I'll help in any way I can.
