  1. There's nothing wrong with posting the file this way; however, if you ever come close to filling up your upload space, Tom will just add more.
  2. Short answer: Not with this utility. Long answer: No, and you wouldn't want to anyway. The sensitivity and speed settings are highly dependent on the game's original hardware. The settings allow you to tweak the controls so as to match the original game with different hardware. Since each game started out with different hardware from the next game, having a globally set speed and sensitivity not only would be technically wrong, but wouldn't play right either. I have a driving cab with 360° steering wheels in it. I had to tweak pretty much every game to get the steering to feel correct. I don't know what the original hardware should feel like in the vast majority of cases, but I know what feels right to me. Also, be aware that you might need to reverse the direction of certain axis for some games. This is more needed for driving games where the pedal is reversed, but it's possible that the spinner/wheel could need switching around too.
  3. {same answer in the other thread where you asked this question} Set up an emulator that has only vertical games. Tell GameEx to only use that emulator. If you are using custom menus, you can leave that one out. There is no toggle to just set GameEx to use vertical only games.

  5. Nice, thanks for sharing!
  6. This is part of the advanced emulator config. You can assign an exit key that can be a single or combination of buttons. If that doesn't do what you need, you can remap keys through a number of different methods. I've never heard of keytweak (looks simple enough) so I can't recommend it personally. I can say that if you are looking to remap a single (or just a small number), you can easily do that with autohotkey or autoit. These are scripting programs that are EXTREMELY easy to write code for. If you go with AHK, the code would be as simple as: a::esc This will remap "a" to send the escape key.
  7. Subforums can help keep things organized. I'd be wary about dividing things up too much. If things are split up too much, we may/will lose users IMO.
  8. If you want to copy your setup to another computer, you can simply copy the GameEx directory in it's entirety and then reinstall over top. Be careful to get all paths updated correctly or you will get errors that could cause crashes.
  9. The best resource would really be the BYOAC forums. Check out the project announcements thread. Many of those include costs as well as everything else you could possibly want to know. http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm
  10. Absolutely, congratulations!
  11. So does this mean that it's not possible to have multiple cabinets with this feature enabled? I have a racing cab in addition to my primary cab. I would LOVE to get some Offroad, Championship Sprint, Danny Sullivan, etc races going at some point, but that means I can't have access to the main library, correct? Of course, I still have to get things put back together for any of that to matter anyway.
  12. I'm unclear what exactly you are asking for. I'm just guessing, but you want to have your list only show roms that are on your computer. If this is for MAME, you need to set up your filters to only show valid roms if that is correct.
  13. Hey, that's pretty cool! How is this different than Kaillera? I assume it has to do with the drivers being open source?
  14. I would keep different versions of MAME in their own directory. You can keep the roms in the same location (assuming they work) and just point the alternate version of MAME to that path.
  15. Probably not that useful, but PM replied to.
  16. Daytona works OK in Model2, but it's a bit wonky on my system. I was hoping to get it running on my driving cab, but I think it's a bit too slow (Athlon XP 3200+). I'll probably just try to use my actual DC to play this and SF Rush.
  17. There are 3 non-utilized categories that you can implement. But, since all the stuff Circo has put together is going to be available from here on out, it seems like a good idea for Tom to make them usable within the build itself!
  18. Well, I'm sure it worked, but you may have to tweak those settings so that you don't end up with 8000 roms listed. But, those are usually the ones that cause issues with newerish users.
  19. Try turning off "Verify ROMs" and "Use Game Filter" list. Try changing the "Remove Duplicates" setting. Update your list afterward, obviously.
  20. I can't see the images due to my company's filtering. You can actually export a text file if you use the config tool (not the setup wizard).
  21. There's nothing wrong with asking about your ideas in a thread, but it will more than likely be lost if it's not also added to the features request thread. Tom definitely reads that thread, but may not review every message of every thread on the forum. Now it will be seen for sure! Not sure about the other questions.
  22. I think that's been requested before in the Features Request Thread. It's obviously not been implemented yet.
  23. 2) Although you can't just type the game's name like you suggest, you can use the search feature to find all games that have "golden" in the name. It's not quite the same, but it will work.
  24. Ideally you should be running the same version of MAME and rom. The MAMEDevs change, update, redump, reformat, etc the roms from time to time. If the rom is of a different version than MAME, then it won't be able to read the rom even though it will work fine in it's matching version. The best thing to do is to use ClrMamePro to rebuild your set to the version of MAME you want to use. If roms don't populate into that set, you will need to get updated versions. Or, if you can, just update your romset and MAME to the most current release and you should be fine.
  25. My only suggestion would be to run the game outside of GameEx to see if there are any warnings that pop up. Maybe in updating the version of MAME, you left the rom set alone? If so, sometimes a redump will cause an old rom to be marked as invalid. I think this is unlikely with Pacman or Robotron, but it's worth taking a look.
