Possible solution to everybody's "game works fine out of gameex, but in gameex only sound plays" issues..... setup GameEx to have the "show desktop" set to ON by default instead of OFF.. Then when people become more familiar with the inner workings of GameEx, they can go back and set it to OFF. ------------------------------------- whats the deal with show desktop. whats the good things about having it on "off" can someon give som insight into the "show desktop" matter? dont really get it.

hi guys. 3 out of 10 games i start with nes just turns black screen. (sometimes with the sound going on in the background) why this irregularity with nes games? every other emu works fine like snes . dc. mame and ps. nes is the pain in the eye. any suggestions? ps im runnin "FCEU.exe" set on fullscreen. (is that a bad nes emu)?

hi guys. i wonder what kind of streaming movie from internet feautures are going on in gameex? has it any fancy support for such thing? ie youtube vids n stuff www.peakvids.com has every film every made on low quality (but watchable) streaming video. all legal i think. (because of streaming technology) i just wondered how to fit this new phenomena regarding free streaming video media via gameex?

im sorry but i did something to the computer. i think i figured up a new device in daemontools. now im getting alot of "outstanding handles" ansd stuff. anyone knows how to get it better again?

Hi i have a half year old version of gameex. i dont want to resetup all my paths, emulators, mame and so on. snap paths, reinstalling programs here and there. is there a painless easy installation of a new version of gameex without doing this if you are not a registered member of gameex? (i am not registrated yet) any tips? peace!

hey it worked just as well as my former method tskill (old taskkill command) the problem is that say i star 5 different games with joytokey after one and eachother. they all work and joytokey seems to be inactivated fine when exiting each game the strange thing is that the right side of my toolbar , there the icons stay as they are active. they dont dissapear untill i move my mouscursor ontop of them. it looks in my process bar (by the side of where the clock is you know) that they are active because the 5 joytokey symbols showing from each of the game i have started eaven tho joytokey really isnt running. what could this be? well as long as it functions i shouldnt complain. peace

-- ok ill try reading the faq right away then. would be great to really understand how it plays. but the support for the gamepad in the jukebox is suverly limitted (from what iv heard, you cant stop or pause with the gamepad) and i operate gamex fully through my gamepad. maby that is why i have big troble with the gameex jukebox thingie. well. ill try reading up some more. peace bbl

Hi. i have some pc games that requires joytokey (super mario wars for example) and some other games. taskkill or tskill.exe dosnt work properly for this. it kinda works but not compleately. after switching 2 games using this it wont kill the task anymore. it only half kills the task and waits untill i exit gamex then kills the task. anyone got any suggestions for me to be sure taskkil or tskill really happens correclty while exiting a game using joytokey? as i said. it works like the first time. but when i exit gameex i can se joytokey in the process bar exiting when i exit gameex.... help?

-- i cant figure out anything about the jukebox either. it seems that it takes random music from different places on the computer. is ther a jukebox faq for gameex?

try setting show desktop either on or off?

-- by standard the exit gamepad key is left up (in the middle) while pressing some buttons at the same time. i always press left up + all buttons. some games dont support it though. (the old version of chankast)

will the "720p .mkv" files show in gameex and display and run in 720p without any jigglejuggel tweeks in ffdshow with the above combination?

Hi guys. This forum really has the smartest and friendliest people of all forums i know of. therfore i thought i would ask this question here. It has some connection to gameex tho gameex also is a htpc interface (could be) Well i wonder what you think is the best way to watch .mkv files? can you watch it trough gameex? is it best to watch these files through ffdshow? (but ffdshow is just a codec, not a player) give me your thoughts on watching 720p HD divx (.mkv in particular) movies in general. (with the best quality possible). peace

also mario pack super mario wars every extend "Popcap games" and if you have an xbox360 gamepad "in the pit" a black screen game with no graphics, but where you instead navigate trough sound and rumble only, (you are a monster who feeds on human)

google for it or lese youtube has alot of em. /you will need a youtube video downloading program though.

hi guys. srry for this ot thing. its just a short question i just installed windows vista theme (for xp) on my comp and was about to bling blinb my computer up a notch. was switching out some icons too. well i did something wit the that i cant open desktop folders by doubleclicking? if i doubleclick on a folder on the desktop the computer asks me what program i should open the file with? huh? its a folder? you dont open the folder with any program lol so has anyoen encountered this problem in windows xp? peace
