  1. Nice "compromise" with the wife there. You've got skills. Emph
  2. That wood theme is superb. If this is what you are able to do as a noob, I'm longing for your later work. Emph
  3. Here's an idea: An enhancement to the "Use Bezel for vertical games" would be if you could use a couple of different ones, and set "rules"/"conditions" for which one's used for one specific game. I was thinking: "Artwork" (root folder) "folder name" (conditions) - "1" (1990-2009;action) "folder name" (conditions) - "2" (1984-1989;action) "folder name" (conditions) - "3" (1977-1983;action) "folder name" (conditions) - "4" (1990-2009;puzzle) "folder name" (conditions) - "5" (1984-1989;puzzle) "folder name" (conditions) - "6" (1977-1983;puzzle) "folder name" (conditions) - "7" (1990-2009;sport) "folder name" (conditions) - "8" (1984-1989;sport) "folder name" (conditions) - "9" (1977-1983;sport) This way, you'd get a series of three diffrent bezels per genre (don't know how many vertical sports games there are though ) and have them "fit" in with the times they're from.

    Spam PM?

This user "mignulikz" sent me a link that seems to be spam. The link says "Please help". Is this a bot? Emph
  7. Okay. Thanks for the info. Still, an awesome update! Emph
  8. This really is a fantastic release. Will be really fun to finish my theme "in progress". Does this mean that I can use different font colour for different objects as well? Like white title text, and a different shades of gray on gamelist, time/date etc? On another note, here's a question about a recent addition: How do I turn of the "merge" function for my MAME list? Thanks. Emph
  9. Yes, how about the bezels for vertical games? What if you specify use of one MAME version that utilizes the old format for a vertical game and then one that uses the new format for another vertical game? On another note, the bezel version detection during the Game list update is still causing issues for me. An option to turn it off would be very nice. Emph
  10. Excellent update! Thanks. Emph
  11. Please explain, Mr Hoffman. (Sorry, just couldn't help myself). Emph
  12. Keep on keepin' on! Emph
  13. Thanks, but the thing is that it's actually icons that I've found at Deviantart. I haven't created them myself. The author seems to be ok with people using them for emulator use though. http://deleket.deviantart.com/art/Gaming-Icons-Pack-42723812 Does look really good within the theme anyway. Edit: Added a couple more screens. Emph
  14. Here's another preview of how I've done the backgrounds for different sections. Emph
  15. a) I would like it if the text objects in the horizontal menu in V4 skins could be centered. Also/if possible, If I define the width in the Theme Editor to say, 640, but not all text objects fit within that area, they should be totally "off screen" until you cycle through the visible ones and then they will move "off screen" to the right. (NON VISIBLE AREA) -----------------------------------------640--------------------------------------- (NON VISIBLE AREA) _________________By Name | By Category | By Manufacturer | By Year | Change View______| Back | Home | Exit | (Center) As this menu is already pretty much centered whenever I see it, this would be a very nice improvement. Emph
  16. I don't have the jukebox activated. Ok. Now I do. For you. Edit: Did a little polish on it. Not finished yet though. Emph
  17. Thanks. This is a V4 theme, so it should work well in 640x480. Actually, these screens were taken in window mode @ 480p, I only sized it up a bit because the fonts were hard to read in that tiny window. I'm gonna test it in one of my candy cabs tonight. Think I'll include a .psd file in this as well, for those who like busy themes and like to add another background. I'll release the theme soon, some more tweaking left to do first. Emph
  18. Hello. Made myself a new (very minimalistic) theme. Needs some finetuning to be 100%, but I thought I'd share some screens for ya. Emph
  19. Thanks for this. Happy Holidays. Emph
  20. Weird. Glad to see that the theme graphics looks that good in a 16:9 setting. Perhaps it has to do with how the font rendering's done while stretching from 1024x768 -> 1920x1080? Emph
  21. Wow. Just WOW. This really is INCREDIBLY COOL. THANK YOU TOM! Emph
  22. Oh, you bought a new computer? I was just gonna suggest you try Raine or FB Alpha (as these often emus run games much faster than MAME does). Emph
  23. Well, he's asking about PC games, not for MAME. What if he's programmed the game himself? If someone is after a "quick buck" it's very easy to setup a MAME cabinet with a coin mechanism. I think this sounds innocent enough and has nothing to do with the MAME licence. Emph
  24. Just found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Prein...ion_Environment and it sounds like a very nice OS for cabinets. It's XP or Vista without the GUI if I understand correctly. And also free (correct me if I'm wrong). Now, would it be possible to run GameEx from this? Edit: Sorry, apparantly not: "Note: Some applications, such as games, will not run on Windows PEâ??but thatâ??s not what Windows PE is designed for. Windows PE also does not currently support the Microsoft .NET Framework." Emph
  25. What!? You actually have to finish the theme? I'm pretty sure mine wasn't... Actually I miss a couple of features to feel I can make it the way I want it. Emph
