  1. Im glad you got it working. I personally would never use custom map files if they aren't needed. Only for things like raine which doesn't use normal names for roms and you dont know what they all are.
  2. Fusion works and some of the pj64 1.7 versions work, I don't recall if I tried 1.6.
  3. Another possibly simpler method would be to use plain old windows search feature. Open the folder with all the roms in search. Then search for *(E)*.* That would give you all the roms that have the (E) in the filename denoting euro. (Change it to whatever your files have) Then simply select them all and drag them to a new folder. DONE
  4. To make your life easier, you can just run your roms through a nointro data file.
  5. Thanks a ton! Happy Easter to everyone as well!
  6. Its also best to still use dat files in the same manner as you did before, completely seperate from gameex. GoodName or Nointro are the most popular formats.
  7. You dont need to use the map files at all. Just remove the map file location from your emulators config and gameex will show only the games you have. I makes a map file stored in a different location if you want to edit it yourself.
  8. I missed the timeframe, but thanks for the site regardless. maybe something else useful will pop up one day.
  9. They are all built into gameex. you just have to select the coresponding database when you set up the emulator.
  10. Looks Awesome! Cant wait!
  11. No netflix and hopefully we can change the menu structure when the V3 themes come out. I guess. For now you can try and enable flat menus or use the game launcher theme and see how you like it. would have to disable all the extra stuff you dont want because alot of it will be on the front page.
  12. And no I dont think changing your mame version will have anything to do with the output quality. Like the other guys said. Its all about the monitor and video card.

    DirectX

Im not exactly sure what to tell you. Gameex is showing that you have 0 mb of video memory left with the arcadeevga. The only suggestion I can give is uninstall all the video drivers, reboot so windows installs the standard vga driver. Then run this tool http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=224647 Then try reinstalling the correct drivers. I suggest this because it sounds like you had an nvidia card in there first and then when you put the ati based part in its not working right. sometimes nvidia/ati drivers dont get along even when uninstalled.
  14. Sorry to dig up such an old thread... Did you ever get PJ641.7.55 working? I upgraded to vista on the HTPC and am finally getting around to setting up all the games again and I cant seem to get it working either. Another question someone might be able to answer.... How do you turn on the message that tell you "this program has stopped working, Check for a solution or close program."

    Vista issue

Is it a desktop or laptop? I just tried on my dell laptop and it loaded the boot menu without problem. Why don't you just load the bios and change the first boot device if you cant get it working. THen change it back when you are done.
  16. Just post a few or all of the games in this thread http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...amp;hl=database And I will check them out and add them for you when I get time.
  17. It may be that they are just not in the database. But, they are simple MS access files if you wish to open them up and take a look.
  18. Happy Birthday Tom! Many thanks for all the hard work you put into this project!
  19. This was the problem I came across when I was working on the databases. There really isn't anything in the databases that would be causing this. The only solution I found is to try erasing the *.dbcache files in one of the gameex folders. That might help for some but it does not fix them all. I currently only have a problem with the raine database I made. But I'm not using any of those systems you mentioned. I mentioned it to tom before, but im not sure if he ever looked into it.
  20. I thanked him and donated. I post under nrk112 over there.
  21. Just when things were going to get interesting too. I couldnt wait for the "t-rex" driver package. Now it looks like thats not going to happen any time soon....
  22. It doesnt really have that loose feeling though. Even without force feedback you are still turning the motor.
  23. I see what your talking about now. I didnt read the whole thread before. No it will not spin indefinately. But I do believe it can make a full 360. Someone on this site made a cab where they had a removeable wheel that fit right on the spinner. I might look into something like that if I was to ad it to my cab. I guess it wouldnt work if you build a sit down cab (with a regular wheel) dedicated to racing games though.

    console classix

Oh ok, I never heard of console classix before. I thought maybe it was a new project you were starting. You did a good job on the interface none the less. Nice, simple, effective....
  25. Actually they do have this and it works very well. I bought the PS2 logitech Driving force pro. It plug and play on windows with the standard game drivers from logitech. It has the 270 or 360 (or almost any customizable degree you could want actually) . It was originally made with gran turismo 3 and is an excellent wheel. A tip for anyone building a custom driving cab... If you get the steering wheel on the same bracket or frame that the seat is on, you can mount the whole thing on some rubber bushings. When the force feedback goes with the wheel, the whole seat shakes and is pretty cool!
