Ill be happy to test it, but my HTPC is in peices right now. I will have it back together in a week. The other thing is I have a home made LCD through the parallel port. not one of the names listed if that matters. Actually now that I think about it, I have a betabrite at work that is unused and I can test also, but I think it needs a special cable to connect to the computer. Ill check it out.

Are you having problems in gamex only? Or its not working outside of gamex also?

I set up an emulator, but it is not finding the roms in the seperate folders, even when that option is checked. Can anyone confirm this option is working? Using v7.01 Thanks

How do you set it up? Does it use ISO files? Daemon tools? I have my files set up like my movies 2 but gameex just says no videos found.

I might be wrong but I think you set it up just like any other emulator. and instead of showing a directory of roms, you show a directory of shortcuts. I also tried it, set it up to see how it works and I bought it yesterday! I cant wait to go home and try the new features.

I agree with all that, I used to use the soundstorm and loved it for that reason alone! But the OP is talking about DVD playback. DVD's are already encoded in DD or DTS. All you need is a decoder which just about any home theater amplifier has. If he connects his HTamp via SPDIF cable (coax or optical) he should be able to just stream the DD track from the DVD and decode it at the amplifier. Anything other than DD encoded streams would just be sent in a 2 chanel digital format. Usually PCM.

I know it was there originally, but I didnt bother with it in the begining because I was trying to get everything else working right. I dont know what I did to make it dissapear... and now that I have everything set up right I dont want to reinstall If I just reinstall without uninstalling will I loose all my paths and whatnot?

So gameex doesnt support SPDIF passthrough? What soundcard are you using? See if it has a setting somewhere for this option? Also, make sure you use digital output only option if you have it. See if that works. Since his amplifier should have DD decoding, he should not need a card with that feature unless gamex somehow blocks the passthrough.

If that doesnt work, check what arguments you have. Just take them all off and set them with the config file. I can never get mame to work from almost any front end with the arguments there.

Thats where I thought I remembered seeing it, but mine is not showing.... Is there more than the on/off setting in the config program that would affect this?

Hi, I am a first time user of gameex, and so far I think its great. The problem I am having is I cant find where to make snapshots of the games. I have it enabled in the configuration, but it is no where to be found in the UI Thanks for any help
