Is nebula and model 2 the same emulator? I can use the new nebula where it says model 2 in the mame config?

I use the regular command line version of mame, The problem I am having is that I just updated from 1.08 to 1.18 and now the games all start and show the rom info but dont go any farther than that. All I did was rename my 1.08 folder and install the new 1.18 folder with the old name. Is there something else I should have done? (I did update the list in gameex)

When I delete the games from the folder they still show up in the list. Is this because of the map file? If so, should I use the gameex delete feature that filters them?

Id like to answer your questions, but honestly Im trying to do the same thing as you, but I spend more time trying to make it perfect and add more things as I find out about them, then I do actually playing the damn thing! But I don't mind, I actually like fooling around with it. I haven't done much with PSX and Dreamcast emulators yet, so I cant tell you much about that. But I use a A64 3400+ with 2gig memory, and ATI on board video. Plays just about every emulated game out there pretty well. Including DC and PSX games. It also plays just about all the modern PC games on the SD TV (640x480) just fine.

I honestly don't remember, I know S1 standby can wake from any keystroke. I don't know if S3 can. I know my current setup wont start from key or mouse presses. Thats not to say it cant be configured to though. I think the biggest problem is that xpadder needs to see the joystick presses before it will make key presses. I think the joystick is completely disabled in S3 standby.

Not from screensaver. From standby. Ill test it out anyways, but I don't think it will work. Who knows. If not, maybe the xpadder dev could add support somehow.

Does anyone know what a fast DVD decoder is? Nvidia and cyberlink is too slow. The built in VLC player is best so far, but it skips a frame every once in a while. Quality doesn't have to be the best as long as its not terrible. (SDTV)

1. Is there a way to integrate it into the mame list similar to zinc and model 2? 2. If not, is there a way to get it to list the games with proper names. All the zips have the shortened mame type names and I dont know what half of them are in the list and I dont think the pictures were working either.

What is the database that stores all the game info like categories and stuff and where do I get them. Not all my emulators have them.

You have to put the command line of mame with the rompath and rom in the launchbefore section. Launch Before = "c:\emulators\mame\mame.exe c:\roms\mame\game.zip" as an example If that doesnt work I dont know what to tell you. Maybe try it in the launch before? It will load the game, then when you exit it will load gameex. Are you going to use gameex for other roms or this is only for this particular mame game?

I think there is a launch before and launch after section in the config (for when gameex starts). Just load up the rom in the launch after and see if that works. Just curious, but what is the purpose of that?

Did you download the haali splitter? You need a splitter to open the container. Haali also splits open those containers. Just incase there is confusion here. mpeg-4 is just a standard for a video file .mp4 is a container type under mpeg-4 standard you can have divx, xvid h.264 etc. This site will give you a little more info... http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s&threadid=62723 But basically you need something that opens the file a (splitter) and then you need a codec that decodes the streams inside the container that you split open. haali will open .mp4, then if the file inside is a standard mpeg4 format, any of the mpeg4 codecs you downloaded should be able to play it.
