Very nice Adultery I really like it you can very easily see your hi-score position on each game. Very well done !! Some ideas: # it would be nice if on your tagger a hi-score competion symbol / icon with a text like "click here for your hi-score results" would be added which shows that an user is playing in our competition. # a really nice incentive would be to add small hi-score award icons to an users tagger. It is nice to be able to show off your hi-score skills directly by having them added to your forums tagger I don't know if this could perhaps be related to an users active hi-score position or only fixed (already earned) awards...? Just spitting some ideas here Anyway, really nice work so far Adultery !!

I'd prefer our summer comp to have challenges on multiple systems / consoles. It' s an ideal way to see how many are interested in playing hi-score games on other platforms than Mame. If we generate enough interest it's our idea to maybe even start other platform hi-score competitions in our Arena forum. For example a NES comp, a Sega comp, an Atari comp etc. with possible its own Game of the Month competition or other console challenges. There should however be enough interest to play in comps like this. I'd be more than willing to mod something like this if there is enough interest. A multi console summer comp is ideal to give this a kind of test run. Thank you for your ideas NP and Draco

I noticed you've pretty much answered your own question haha The Mame version Twin Galaxies allows for submitting hi-scores to their website was and currently is wolfmame 0.106. As you've already mentioned Twin Galaxies decided to use the bootleg version of this rom as the original didn't work with wolfmame 0.106. Twin Galaxies has changed ownership just recently and they're still working at bringing the (new) submitting proces back online. The Mame version Twin Galaxies allows will perhaps change in the near future if they have everyting back online. We decided to use Twin Galaxies settings (ROMset and game specific settings) to allow our hi-score members to compare their hi-score with the world's best If you'd decide to submit hi-scores to Twin Galaxies (not yet possible) you would have to use the correct Mame version. A lot of our hi-score members (me included) are using self-compiled Mame versions however - often with hi-score support. That's why we've decided to only follow Twin Galaxies ROMSet and game settings and not expect our members to use TG's Mame version. TG doesn't change the allowed Mame version every time because they have to test that particular Mame version for things like game session recording, possible cheating etc... It would be too much work to re-test this with every new release of Mame. I hope this explains it a little....

I've just been reading you've succesfully compiled a MAME version with hi-score support...so you're ready to go I've just sent you a PM with some additional info about our friendly competition...It's very easy to join and start submitting hi-scores

In my general account settings my Timezone is GMT + 1 (I live in the Netherlands) I noticed since a day or two the time which is shown when I post a reply is GMT - 3 ? Is this a forum change. Is there now one general Time Zone ? Just curious

Very nice idea KRC This was kind of the reason we started the Arena Forum > adding other platform / console games to our Hi-Score competition I'll discuss with Darren if we'll add this game as part of our Summer Comp or maybe add this as a seperate game thread to our Arena Forum. Question > what NES-emulator do you use / recommend ? Another great idea !! However...I'm not sure either how many games will show us the amount of quarters / credits being used. I will have to look into this. I've tried recording Mame gameplay sessions...but this screws up my in-game hi-score tables....I'm using a compiled version of Mame with hi-score support. Recording sessions is a no-go for me at this point. But maybe other ways of recoding video will be possible. Any ideas ? Keep those great ideas coming guys
