  1. Can you please try the attached GameEx.exe and post the log again? Thanks for your help. GameEx.zip
  2. Sorry Not sure whats going on then.
  3. This looks to me that the Karoake plugin is not installed. You have to select it when installing GameEx. Did you do that?
  4. Short answer. Yes, with Headkaze's CPWizard.
  5. Does the log show anything? Post it.
  6. Working fine for me. In the last release I added support for an exernal video player. I would check this is not turned on.
  7. Ive looked at the code. It is in fact supposed to show the boxart as the second image in version 3 or version 4 themes. Is that what your talking about? Thats working for me fine.
  8. GameEx has never been supposed to allow viewing of box art when scrolling the video list. If it did it must have been a side effect. DVDs do show box art in the list. For videos you can either show the preview of the video playing or use the create snaps option. As far as I know its never shown box art in the actual list. At least Ive never seen it do that, and I never intentionaly programmed it to do so. As Yves said you can put the files there yourself though.
  9. Thanks. I cant take credit for them for though. I paid someone to do them on rentacoder.com along with the normal logo. It was part of the initial job, I just never made them available until now. Its important to keep branding consistent, but I just thought what the hell, put them out there, its not like its MS Windows or something
  10. http://www.gameex.net/Download/MediaandIma...86/Default.aspx
  11. Flash, thats exactly what I am aiming for. Thats it in a nutshell. Once the application is coded, and bug fixed, all I plan on doing is rebooting the server, and approving updates, users and moderators.
  12. Yeah, lets take this offline buddy. Give me ten minutes
  13. GameEx will create a MAME database after a list update, so thats probably the best way to go with this. Turn off all filters and update the list, then youll just have to delete the data not needed and add a little bit of missing data.
  14. Try to look whats in the extracted folder, while Project 64 is still open, ie before returning to GameEx. When GameEx returns it will extract the "List" of the archive and again put the 0kb files there. Also take a look at runitgame.bat in the data folder. Post it here.
  15. Very kind of you to offer Hunk. Good luck.
  16. Yeah your right, we can already do the "also on system" as is. Didnt think of that. Cool, I feel another enhancment coming on
  17. Try turning off vsync.
  18. Great. Let see what headkaze thinks. Im happy to have any descriptions youve created, if we know which ones. I would write the SQL update script so it would accomodate updates, so we'd be all set as more data becomes available. I agreee we should sort out a common "System Name" naming system. This will also allow me to do the online favorite lists in GameEx. Maybe we already have this, but it did occur to me to. I still think GameExDBM is the best way to add/update the data, so I don't think we'd allow online updates by people initialy. Apart from perhaps any missing data, such as the descriptions. One of my ideas that we would eventually get our own data if we allowed folks to participate, but I think just missing data. Im happy to go with the proptotypes and demos, like I said what will make this different I think is that it will be more "emulation" based.
  19. Im wondering if I can do something with and implement the "other systems" data. We capture this data right? What do you think HK and Flash?
  20. What exactly is the issue your having? GameEx does create 0kb files as it initally just extracts the list of files for performance purposes. It only extracts the archive when you launch a game. So what you say above is normal. If you give some more details about whats happening we can help further.
  21. I recall there was quite a good Donkey Kong port for the dragon. Although c64 Donkey Kong was a near perfect conversion. I had the version were the girl said 1001 (1001 cracking team) instead of Help!
  22. We can put them on the main site when there done. I am going to have to bite the bullet next year probably anyway and get a new server so I have more bandwidth. I like the idea of having a new database/info site for systems in the future, complete with all media and data, so you might want to work on that with me later on if your interested in a project like that.
  23. Done.
  24. Id have a real problem with a computer like that now. What with the ash, coffee stains and crumbs, I get through about 3 keyboards a year
  25. Brian its not personal, just havent had a chance to check either of them. Ideally the main portal should be updated. Wouldnt want to put another monkey on your back, but if you want admin access to gameex.net id appreciate anything you do.
