What she is thinking: "He made that ugly arcade, spends thousands of hours on that Game-e-whatever online forum, and now he wants to spend $1200 on a computer desk thingy? If he spent half as much time taking out the garbage, mowing the lawn, doing the dishes, or cleaning maybe then I'd be willing to entertain these childish obsessions of his. I swear he loves that computer more than me!" What he is thinking: "AAGGHHH!!! Why does that stupid kid always win?. I swear if I had an eyefinity setup I'd kick his bald eagle A$$! Hmm, I wonder what's for dinner." What the kids are thinking: "Why does dad have to hog all the bandwidth with QOS?"2 points

The plugin has been updated to 1.0.7! Here's the rundown: Adds full integration with GameEx's play count, last played, and favorites statusSupports both MDB and DB3 formatsMore status information has been added to the pluginPlease be sure to extract the whole zip, the two DLL's inside will be required from this point forwardFixed a problem where status was not being updated when GameEx was exited using GameEx OnlineAdded additional logging for support issues should they ariseAs I stated, the GameEx database is now fully integrated. You will notice your last play time, favorites status, and overall play count are current when you launch the game. I did some php coding to manually add to the play count if you play multiple times in one session, since the physical database only updates when GameEx exits (I assume Tom stores it in memory until then). You will also notice that the plugin will report the version you are using and notify you if an update is available in your User CP. I did a bunch more work on the site also, including play history on your User CP, and some various CSS stuff. Make sure you do a hard refresh on the page to reload the new CSS. I also went ahead and added some code to skip any users with tags that haven't uploaded any data to the server yet, and capped the limit at 10 tags per page. The most played games count is an overall count, and will display your top 20 for now. I'll probably make a spot for your top 10 overall, and then do a spot for the last 10 you played based on the new data I recieve from the plugin, as soon as I get cracking on the user stats page. Then I'll keep working on the Hi-Score page, which is coming along but not quite ready to be released to the public. Soon. That's it for now, I'll be back at work on the site for a while. Grab it from the first post. And please, if you use the plugin, update ASAP. It's lame seeing all those 'unavailable!' spots on the new data fields. Enjoy!1 point

If your hell bent on overclocking this thing I suggest keeping a log (pen and paper) of your stable clocks and refer back to it over the next few months to establish a reliably stable OC. Also, disable turbo and cool'n quiet as they will prevent you from getting a max clock. I recommend Prime95, HW monitor, CPUZ and heaven benchmark. As for thermal paste I recommend Arctic MX4 over Arctic silver. It conducts heat faster, is electrically nonconductive, and lasts for 8 years without need for reapplication. I pull open all my PS3s and replace the paste with this. Your power supply is overkill. I have a 300W packed full of crap and there is no issue at all with this APU. You can save some money on PSU, I've never had issues skimping (within reason) on one yet, 750W should serve all your needs well into the future though. Here is some info you'll find critical: Don't exceed these limits. They're taken directly from AMDs product details for the A10-5800K. A10-5800K Thermal specification = 74 celcius A10-5800K Voltage specification = 1.475V Overclocking AMD tutorial (windows): I should Point out that I own the same processor and a radeon 7750 low-profile pcie card. Overclocking this doesn't seem to produce great advance in PCSX2 speed. Some games I just can't play, Like gran turismo 3, but other I can like Kingdom hearts. So even with modern hardware PCSX2 pushes the limits. Give it another couple of years and maybe then it will run smoothly. But don't count on it, NFL blitz on MAME doesn't run smoothly and that was from 1999. Sometimes you have to come back to reality and give up for a while. Good luck, and have fun. Overclocking is kinda perilous at the start but isn't as scary as it used to be. There are lots of redundant features on modern boards that keep you from frying your investment. Still take it slow as you learn the art. Happy Clocking!1 point

Hello Fallout !! Welcome to our Hi-Score competition Deteacher from Atariage hasn't been online since March...I've been playing in his competition and it unfortunately fell apart indeed...BUT...you're more than welcome to join our competition About our Leaderboard... Adultery already explained it very well. Some more info: your hi-score position on each hi-score game represent points for your Leaderboard position. You can check - at any moment - your leaderboard total by simply adding up the individual points of your current hi-score game positions. Your Leaderboard total is published in our Leaderboard thread. When starting this competition I wanted a newcomer to have the same chances for a good leaderboard position as someone already playing our hi-score games for a year or longer. When previous points earned would stick with you this is not the case. I've sent you a personal message (see little envelop at the top right section of your screen) about our Hi-Score competition with info on how to join our competition and some general rules. If you have any questions about our competition you can always sent me a PM1 point

Seriously? Can you answer the questions that have been asked by Censored and use his recommendation? "If this happens only on db2s tables, try disabling the db2s DMD in the db2s settings. Also try a newer Version of VP (e.g. the great new DX9 Version)" Please provide new copies of the requested files immediately following the suggested course of action. Bumping the thread and not responding to the requests will not get you closer to a workaround or a resolution. Thank you.1 point

Have you thought of putting GameEx on the external drive also. I have ran it this way now for almost 2 years. When I hook the external to a different computer, I just create a short cut on the new computer. I have about 200 systems on the external along with the assets and the roms. On the larger systems I just have the top 10 or so top games I like to play to save space. The only problem I have ever had was that, sometimes when Gameex updates, I have to do a manual update.1 point

It seems that way at first, but the score is recalculated every time a user submits a score. A new player could jump in with a few hi scores and be right up in there no problem. Consistent game play is key, users come and go and don't always defend hi scores, and that makes the scores drop. All you gotta do is start submitting scores, you'll be surprised how fast you climb the ladder.1 point

Updated to 1.0.5! This is mostly due to a fix pointed out by MNMax21, but I also added a new feature for checking the master database online instead of downloading a server generated text file, which should make things happen much faster than waiting for the script to catch up. Plugin now checks online for games instead of downloading a local listThis keeps the list up to the second a game is entered instead of waiting for the server to update the game listIf no connection to the request site is made, override mode is used to capture snapsFixed a bug where Snow Bros was not being found in game listSmoothed out some code that detects key presses and takes snapsMoved the snap folder for temporary MAME snaps to the user's %temp% folder, keeping things tidyGet it from the first post.1 point

Yes, I've created a Games List which enables you to check at a glance which hi-score games are part of our competition. Note: I do have to add Snow Bros. and Choplifter to this list. These are the two games which have recently be added to our competition. Happy hi-scoring !!1 point

Count me in I don't know how much time I'll have in July and I don't know if I can submit a score for each game during this contest so I really hope other GameEx-ers will join me and try to defend the honor of the GameEx community @ Wolfman > you speak of a max of 10 games per week based upon the no. of websites which will join this contest. IMHO, I think 10 games per week is too much. A max of 5 games would be manageable. Just my humble opinion ~ GC1 point

Wow! I didn't even know that the levels looped... I've never gotten past flying saucers... Those spinning bullets get me every time! I've just avoided the level ending plane for long periods of time to get to my scores.1 point
