Sorry to hear about that KRC....I hope that they find those b@#tards quick and they will be proscuted to the fullest extent of the law! I work in an investigative kinda field, and from what it sounds like (based on the items they took), it seems like they are more intersted in selling it rather than keeping it, so I would start looking through pawn shops, ebay, craigslist...any kind of store or listing that sells used items. My older brother had his apartment broken into several years ago, and the guy who broke in took the computer he built, some cash, and a few valuable items. The cops came and did their jobs, but after doing a little snooping around in the local pawn shops here, we found the items that were stolen and traced it back to my brother's neighbor. Lol, oddly enough, a week before he broke in, he asked my brother if he could help him get a job. Another thing you could try (and I only heard about this...never really tested it), is that you can contact microsoft and give them information on your laptop, and if it connects to the internet, they can come close to pinpointing the exact location of where the connection is.
