  1. As AlphaUMi stated, MAME artwork is configured within MAME rather than GameEx. Typically the MAME artwork should go into an ‘artwork’ sub-directory located in the same directory as your MAME executable. If you access the MAME settings menu (typically using the tab key), all available artwork configurations are located under the ‘Video Options’ menu. There you will find any available alternate bezels, overlays, etc. available for the game that’s currently loaded. I’m away from my emulation rig, so I’m kind of working from memory here. There’s a fantastic MAME Artwork FAQ over at Mr. Dos Arcade naturally (although that particular site is blocked on the machine I’m using, so hopefully the link works). Give that FAQ a read and it should put you on the right track. I haven’t figured out if there’s a way to use the GameEx bezel settings in combination with MAME artwork though. In other words it would be cool if GameEx could determine whether a bezel was already being applied by MAME, and if so use the MAME artwork, otherwise apply the GameEx bezel. If anyone is already doing that, I’d love to hear how they pulled it off.

  2. [REQUEST] We need to be able to change fonts, colors, and sizes for each emulator individually. Much much needed!! Also GameEx needs real video stretching.

  3. It would be really great if the list of MAME games, you could spend to sort "by name", sort "by category", "by year", "by manufacturer", by simply pressing a single key as "TAB". Which would no longer clutter the screen with the horizontal menu for pure themes.

  4. I was hoping to have radio buttons for views you can enable and disable. With the new views added, it is too hard to scroll through the 6-8 different types one at a time in sequential order ex (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8) to get to the one you want. I have disabled the live video ones but it is not enough as the new tablet views are very obtrusive to certain themes and make navigation a nightmare with a mouse or gamepad. If each view were able to be turned on or off we could keep the views we like per emulator and only have to switch between 2 or 3. ex (1-4-7). Either that or an option in theme editor to disable more views.
