For us gameex users there is really no doffrence then mame / mame 32 as gameex use the command line to launch games.

Mame32 users enjoy the ability to run mame with a gui instead of using the command prompt... And yes some perfer making config through it as well.

For your stutering audio issues try removing the -tripplebuffer switch from the advance mame option in the gameex advanced config.

Btw: I use the official mame 119 binary with the hoffmame: sexual choclate edition patch.

Hey Brian!

Could you please post the your command line that you're using with .119?

I'm still having stuttering audio and slow down (!) in Donkey Kong, Out Run and a few others when I didn't really have any problems before...

Now with Out Run, if I set frameskip to 6 I get a pretty smooth emulation... but with Donkey Kong, no luck... it's very strange...

How do I use the new -rs switch? Maybe that would help?

Sure.

Navigate to the advanced mame setting in gameex and in the command line options I have this

-nowindow -joy -mt -cheat -syncrefresh

-mt is telling mame that I have a dualcore processor and puts audio and video on their own thread.

I removed -tripplebuffer

Id also play around with -video ddraw

as direct3d is default.

Let me know how it works out.

No such luck... some games work great but others don't... Donkey Kong is the one that's throwing me for a loop though... should be an easy emulation but it's slowing down and the audio is awful... Out Run is choppy as well... but games like Street Fighter, Pac Man, and others are working fine...

Any thoughts?

Donkey Kong became much slower when they started emulating the sound rather than using samples. You will get a big performance boost if you lower your samplerate from 48000 to 24000.
