Hello Guru's,

Dutifully running v. 7.00 and about to update to v. 7.02.

Is it just me, or has something changed recently where inside PBX holding down your Left or Right Flipper buttons only scrolls one table at a time?  I thought we used to be able to hold down a L or R Flipper key to keep tables scrolling past ??

It definitely, still works if I push the Left or Right Shift keys via a connected keyboard, just not the Flipper buttons..... ???

I’ve tested it, and mine is still working. If I keep pressing the left or right flipper button, it speeds up quickly.

Might help to update to the latest version and attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files in reply to this thread is still a problem.

Updated to 7.02 and nope, no change.  Only my shift key make tables scroll, not my L + R Flippers still.  My L + R Nudge buttons function as Magna Saves and jump a whole letter and more if I keep them held down, so it's just my L + R Flippers causing me grief....  Files attached

No Joysticks - I use an iPac 2 via PS/2 port for my flippers, nudge, coins, start, exit etc.  I do recall it had a problem a few months ago where it was attached via PS/2 to USB adaptor but it stopped powering up the iPac.  I then pulled the adaptor off and connected it directly to my PS/2 port which powered it up immediately...... ?  Might I have to check my iPac key settings?

Might be a good idea. Have there been any other updates - driver, or hardware? Maybe try the PS/2 to USB adapter but in a different USB port?

No driver updates at all to do with the iPac ever.  Been using it for 11 years....  Have already tried re-inserting and unfortunately, it does not get power from USB anymore.  Only way I can use it is via my PS/2 port.

Might try a different PS/2 to USB adaptor I have lying around.

I am assuming you have tested other USB ports if available.

  • Have you tested other USB devices on the same ports to confirm no issues with the same ports?
  • Have you checked Windows Device Manager when inserting the cable directly via PS/2 and with USB adapter?
    • Any device errors showing? Likely it will appear under HID (Human Interface Devices).
  • When you plug in the PS/2-USB combo or just the straight PS/2, have you checked for changes or errors in Windows Device Manager?
  • Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the I-PAC2 software/drivers? They will sometimes corrupt over time.
  • Have you reached out to Ultimarc for assistance? [email protected]

Seems this is not an uncommon issue with the Win I-Pac2 PS/2 -

Thanks Draco, the iPac 2 works flawlessly for all my tables.  It shows up correctly in Windows with no failure of drivers etc.  I can see all the buttons mapped and working in the iPac programme also.  If I hold down my flipper buttons it shows as being held down in the iPac programme.  It's OK I'll live....

I would certainly hope that this is not worthy of being a life-ending event! 😮 Seriously though, I take it by your response you have gone through the triage questions, saw no error message, tried uninstalling/reinstalling the iPac 2 drivers, etc. and still no joy?

I think it is to do with my ipac connecting via PS/2 port.  If I was able to use my ipac via USB connectivity, then I think it would still function ok.  I unfortunately cannot run my ipac via a PS/2 to USB connector.  Close the log.
