fAthAwg13
Has anyone successfully programmed an AtGames Pinball arcade panel on Pinball X? I see there was one topic that has since been closed with no solution. I am not interested in using Joy2Key as every other program has controller support (Steam, VPX, Future Pinball, MAME.....). When you tap the 3 dots to program a button the window opens and immediately closes before you can press a button.
Mike_da_Spike
Is the controller detected as a joystick controller within pinballx ? Reproduce your issue and send the log file and ini file.

scutters
@fAthAwg13 as well as attaching the usual \log\pinballx log.txt and \config\pinballx.ini files please also attach the log\SetupWizard.log file after attempting to set to a button.
Draco1962
I thought this looked somewhat familiar to this one - whattya think @Mike_da_Spikeand @scutters?
Mike_da_Spike
This one seems like the controller cannot be used with PinballX, even though Windows detects the controller. Log files and all other information should be helpful in identifying the problem.
scutters
Not sure, it might be that pinballx can see & use the controller but the settings app for whatever reason crashes out (in which case we might be able to set the joycodes manually in the ini file as a workaround while Tom investigates).. Just hope to see some clues in the log files when they arrive!
Draco1962
Thanks guys! Searching the interwebs using "AtGames Pinball, or ALP + control panel not working" as a key search phrase turns up lots of issues reported across the various VP forums, Reddit, and Steam. Found the attached at AtGames Legends Pinball OTG Direct Controller Configuration @ VP Forums which may be of help to ensure proper configuration of the OTG controller. While the instructions are pointed towards Pinup Popper, the portions prior to that focus could be helpful in getting these types of issues resolved for PinballX users. If confirmed, may be a PinballX specific instruction could be crafted. AtGames Legends Pinball OTG Direct Controller Configuration for Visual Pinball.pdf In addition to providing the requested pinballx.ini, log.txt, and SetupWizard.log files, he may also want to load a text editor (Notepad, Notepad++, etc.) to see if there is an input "sticking" - would show as repeated character assigned to the key. This could possibly cause the button program to close immediately. Just a few thoughts.

fAthAwg13
Sorry, got the logs and was going to send in the morning. Well luck have it my PC decided to crash. New processor is now installed, and starting with a fresh install. Good news is there won't be a bunch of extra BS in the logs when I get everything up and running.
