keithhov
I had this problem in the past, I am using a recent beta for pinmame, highscores for whirlwind are not updating/generating in the highscore folder in pinballx. The whirl_l3,nv file generates in pinmame nvram folder, I see "Whirlwind (L-3)=whirl_l3.nv" listed in the pinemhi.ini file in pinballx directory. I can attach files tommorow, I can't get to cabinet currently.
Mike_da_Spike
Are you able to use pinemhi from the pinballx folder) to extract the highscore ? Quote PINemHi <romname>.<extension> displays all the high-scores for that game(rom) e.g. afm_113b.nv or familyguy.fpram
scutters
Also, it's always worth checking the table script when high scores aren't saving. Vpinmame needs to exit properly on table close, so in the table_exit event in table script it needs something like; Sub Table1_Exit Controller.Stop End Sub
keithhov
No luck with the 2 ideas above... rolled back both vpx and vpinmame to versions from last month, still no luck, other tables generate in the highscore folder. Changed PCs, still get same outcome with Whirlwind table.
keithhov
I went back to pinmame 3.5 to test and the highscore generates as it should.
Mike_da_Spike
Whats the output from pinemhi.exe ? Pinemhi.exe is the tool that reads the highscore.Tom updated the pinemhi 'database' fileca couplecof releases back sonit should be compatable with 3.5 and 3.6 as well Can you post your pinballx logfile? I would give it a shot, but it should read the 3.6 vpinmame nvrams as well
keithhov
dumb it down for me, what do you want me to do, if i just run the exe nothing happens, if i run it from command line it just gives me options to generate version or rom list

Mike_da_Spike
Good catch! I've verified that since the last update by Pinemhi and the latest Pinmame, several tables have been added and some have had their names changed. I will reach out to DNADisturber to include the new ones in the list as well. I've created a new list that is compatible with both the old 3.5 and 3.6 versions. Simply replace all the entries in the [ROMFIND] section of the PinemHI.ini file in the PinballX directory. pinemhi.txt @Tom Speirs do you want to add this version to a new rlease, or do you want for DNADisturber to have a original file ? 1
