Nah, we are doing well. I am going through old kit that I have accumulated (hoarded according to my wife) and repurposing what I can vs. buying new and selling off/recycling old. I recently came across a stash of old routers, RAM, IDE HDDs , and a few monitors that will be sold or rehomed in the near future.

Okay, so we are over a couple of years into Wifi 7 now.

My conclusion is even if you are right on top of the best prosumer router with a single connection, with the leading Intel adapter - 2.5gb ethernet is better.

Even in the almost perfect environment overall in sustained use 2.5gb ethernet wins.

In the perfect environment with the best hardware WIFI 7 can have faster sequential throughput but this is not consistent. There is also higher latency and ethernet has full duplex.

Wow, I recall this post like it was two months ago, yet its been over two years already! 

Really hard to believe how much time has passed. I was just reading an article commenting that it had been nearly two years since Hurricane Helene had devastated areas of the inland southeastern US, which is odd for those unfamiliar with this area.

I have been upgrading kit to WiFi 6 PCI-E cards and very pleased with the results.
