I've noticed recently a couple of times when the font in PinballX goes fuzzy after about 30 seconds (no user input), one second it's fine and then the next it's fuzzy.

Most times when i start PinballX i see the fuzzy version straight away and don't see the sharp version at all, so not sure when this started happening or in what version of PinballX

This is the difference;

Good / Sharp

Bad / Fuzzy

Note, i'm using a custom font in the fonts folder (attached).

It's a 4k screen @ 120hz

Just for testing: can you try lower frequentie ? If that would work ?

We already had issues with higher refresh rates.

Same @ 60hz

(just changing the screen playfield refresh rate to test was enough to confuse windows enough to change all my screen positions and start duplicating the displays :angry:. Thanks for that Mike!!!!!)

Change to a default TTF such as Ariel or Calibri to see if it may just be a font issue? Also, what is your default Windows text size? If it is other than 100%, try changing it to that.

The font i use is meant to be a TTF. Removing it so PinballX defaults back to Tahoma and the effect is less noticeable,  but still there with that font.

Text scaling and screen scaling are both at 100%.

Strange issue..
