Hello,

I installed the pbx recorder 1.9 version found as an attachment in a discussion on the forum.
The creation of playfield and backglass videos works very well.
However, I have a problem with the audio.
Here are attached my pbx recorder ini and log files after an attempt to create the doctor strange table
as well as a screenshot of the sound card settings.
 Thanks for your help.

You might get more error information if you open a command prompt and run

J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\FFMpeg\bin\ffmpeg -y -t 5 -f dshow -i audio="Stereo Mix" -y -t 20 -rtbufsize 1500M -f gdigrab -framerate 30 -offset_x 0 -offset_y 0 -video_size 1920x1080 -i desktop -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -qp 0 -threads 8 -s 1920x1080 -crf 30 -vf "rotate=0:bilinear=0" "J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\playfield.mp4"

Look for error lines in red from ffmpeg in the result. If the "J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\playfield.mp4" file is created delete it after.

You could also download & try different versions of ffmpeg (but backup your current version first)

Whoops!

Try

"J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\FFMpeg\bin\ffmpeg" -y -t 5 -f dshow -i audio="Stereo Mix" -y -t 20 -rtbufsize 1500M -f gdigrab -framerate 30 -offset_x 0 -offset_y 0 -video_size 1920x1080 -i desktop -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -qp 0 -threads 8 -s 1920x1080 -crf 30 -vf "rotate=0:bilinear=0" "J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\playfield.mp4"

Copy the full text including the quotes from scutters.

All behind 'try:'

Edit : so you have this in your command prompt (and no need to go to j:)

What is the output from the command prompt if you run this?

"J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\FFMpeg\bin\ffmpeg" -list_devices true -f dshow -i dummy

here is what it gives

Ok, try this next

"J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\FFMpeg\bin\ffmpeg" -y -t 5 -f dshow -i audio="Stereo Mix (ASUS Xonar DS Audio Device)" -y -t 20 -rtbufsize 1500M -f gdigrab -framerate 30 -offset_x 0 -offset_y 0 -video_size 1920x1080 -i desktop -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -qp 0 -threads 8 -s 1920x1080 -crf 30 -vf "rotate=0:bilinear=0" "J:\pb recorder\PBXRecorder_x64_1.6\PBXRecorder_x64\playfield.mp4"

(i replace "Stereo Mix" with the full name "Stereo Mix (ASUS Xonar DS Audio Device)")

If that works without error replace the Stereo Mix name with the full name in Pbx Recorder

Most of this is almost impossible to read due to the size and blowing it up makes it very blurry. Can you try to get a screen capture that is a bit more zoomed in instead for a print screen of the main screen and other monitors?

Did you check the privacy settings for the microphone in windows as suggested in the link?

"Policy is within the privacy settings for microphone access for 3rd party apps (Win10 & Win11)"

Ok. I did what was necessary.
This seems to work.
But I can't find the audio file. It is not in the pinballx audio table folder and not in the pbx recorder folder.
Where is it supposed to be?
THANKS

The audio should be included in the playfield video file. From the pbx recorder log everything looks ok so i assume it worked :)

Check the "C:\PinballX\Media\Visual Pinball\Table Videos\1 Doctor Strange Balutito Mod.mp4" file for sound.

You may need to enable audio in videos in PinballX Settings -> Audio Settings -> Sound in Videos = Yes

It works !!
Big thanks.
Afterwards my PC has difficulty keeping up with video playback, especially for puck packs. (Phenom II x6 and gtx 660)
A suggestion to make reading smoother?
