tthurman
Seems it would have potential, but that looks like a hot mess!
hansolo77
Looks cool but I think I need seizure medication.
Draco1962
Maybe that is why it wasn't released? Or was it because it would have been released after the disaster that was Galactica 1980?
tthurman
The laserdisc scene was crazy at launch with Dragon's Lair, etc., but it seemed to fizzle quickly and suffer from a lot of games that were pretty disappointing because the technology wasn't ideal for a lot of them. hansolo77
Laserdisc is something I've never been able to emulate. Near as I can tell though, they work with 1 very long and erratic video file and a bunch of software that jumps around in that video as needed. When I said I needed seizure medication, it was meant as a joke. But I'm pretty sure that all laserdisc games are the same like that. Draco1962
Some were better than others. I don't know for sure but I bet scaling down the images for compatibility with the monitors used to display then probably had a part in the noticeable and oft seizure-inducing flicker seen with some of the games. The Bluth games (Dragon's Lair series and Space Ace) seemed to have more polish and less noticeable flicker than others.
Tom Speirs
Wow, love the laserdisc stuff. I expect someone will have a go in singe 2 with that video.
