Includes Table Images and Backglasses now, as well as a rename batch file for the backglasses, to rename the batch files the way the game uses them.

Table images i created myself last night, Backglass images i did not create myself however i did edit out some of the pinball FX2/3 logos or replaced them with a pinball FX logo. It has been noted to me that certain images in the set originated from TheTrain

Thanks @joyrider3774. I really appreciate the time you spend on this to make it work !

I made 2 different playfield videos for the daily free tables

   and backglasses :

And I created a new system wheel, so it shows nicely in my front end

btw. Should it maybe be easier to create a settings file with the table location, instead of putting them in the AHK ?
This would make an update a bit easier. Only adding it to a settings file and not compiling an AHK again

putting the in the AHK is easier (for me atm), i just take a cmdline parameter and eval the string to the variable well actually the value it contains thats the reason i don't have to do things like if cmdlineparameter[0] = "TblDaily1" Do (launch daily1)

If i have to add a settings file now it requires more programming work. Its not like they add a new table every day (it's about once per month it seems) and i have to update the database files also now including the one for pinup popper. Also for just the daily tables it would have no effect anyway you don't need to recompile the ahk for that as that would remain working, only the group getting the table added requires me to update it. I installed it and created help video for pinup popper also people kept requesting how todo it and were not able to :)

You wont believe what I'm using ...

The morphing is done via ffmpeg (thanks to scutters who providing me the commands a time ago)

Also the overlays are done via ffmpeg

Not much new, except that i create tarcisio style wheels as well now since i'm able to run both pinup popper and pinballx on my cabinet (mostly using same media) so i can test and create things for both systems now.

I also added a small system video in the latest release and created gif preview images for the wheels as you can see below:

Docklets:
Can see a preview here as well and grab individual files: https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballFXLauncher/blob/main/DockletWheelsPreview.md

I'm not sure if it makes much sense that i upload the tarcisio style images to the site here as they are mostly used with pinup popper system if you think otherwise please let me know and i'll upload them as well

Not agree that they are only for popper. I use them as well on my pinballx. See

And thanks for the wheels.

The Tarc wheel images initially started as part of Tarcisio's menus designed for Popper. They are compatible for use with PinballX or any frontend menus, same as the Mega Docklets that I started years ago.

I think the wheels you have provided look great and, the more diversity in all aspects (wheels, underlays, overlays, loading images and the like) help others to positively customize their experience.

Thanks for sharing!

I just finished updating the pinball Fx cabinet mode launchscript related to the new pinball FX update that launched on thursday.

- added / updated backglasses for peanuts and dreamworks pinball (i removed pinball party logo and replaced it with pinball fx logo)
- updated peanuts snoopy pinball docklet wheel with peanuts logo
- updated launch script to add the new tables and adjusted for changed positions (star wars table position seemed to have changed as well)
- updated backlgass rename script to get zen table names (to be used with the game) to add the new tables
- adjusted preview pages for the new dreamworks and peanuts table sections on the github page
- Updated Pinup popper and pinball X databases related to the new table releases

You will need to reimport the database again in pinup popper, normally it should only add the newly added tables. For pinball X you can just overwrite the previous database xml. Replace and recompile the launch script (don't forget to take over previous adjustments for timings if you did any and reenable cabinet mode) and place the newly provided media (backglasses, wheels, table images) for the new tables in the correct directories.

Grab From here https://github.com/joyrider3774/PinballFXLauncher/releases/latest

I also added the wheels for the new tables to the downloads sections here

Pinball FX Released yesterday and script was no longer working, so i modified the script to make it work with the Release version and added wheels, backgrounds etc for the newly released tables

  • adjusted script so it works with the non early access release
  • Removed daily free code and related media, this option does not exist anymore in the game
  • added media for the newly released tables
  • updated pinup popper and pinball fx database for the newly released tables

yeah it might get added later this year, still wonder how they will pull it off on epic, but i'm transfering everything to steam. Early access people got to fill in a form where they can choose to transfer their games to and i choose "other pc" which probably is steam i hope it's not the windows store version lol

Lol. I didnt get a form (yet), but hopefully they move to steam quickly. I will check the epic one today, if there are any differences compared to the early access(and if the standard version is free on console, I wl check that as well)

Posted

they did not send out emails or so about the form only on socials and normally only for early access bought stuff not sure but this is the link to form https://forms.gle/VhYWMkES1euw3GJB9

Btw for anyone wondering cabinet mode in pinball fx works also for the trial tables (tables you don't own) and the wild wild west table is the free table you get with downloading the game. So you can test it out with my script before deciding to buy any tables or so.

The one year exclusivity deal with epic ends around march somewhere (if early access time is included) that would mean steam version could come as soon as april

Thanks so much @joyrider3774.  I have all this working with my Steam collection.  FX might not have a direct table launch, but this is damn close and works great.  Plus even have the option to choose what type of game to play.  I also go to my pimdmd3 to work with the FX games.  Again thanks and great work!

Dang, saw this a little to late.  I just got it working on my own and so far it's working great.  I do thank you so much for the automation script I was using.  Really worked great.
