Desire VPX to exit to wheel and not restart Pinball X - RESOLVED

I have a cabinet VPX system with a Pinball X front end.  Currently running pretty smooth with 114 tables.  I have mapped a button on the bottom of my cabinet to exit VPX when I Finish playing.  When pressed, VPX exits as expected but Pinball X restarts and I see the Pinball X load screen.  I would really like VPX to simply exit to the Pinball X wheel.  
 

Seems like it should be easy to map the button to exit VPX and return to Wheel but I can’t seem to get the correct mapping between VPX and Pinball X.  
 

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

You probably have the button double mapped.

Please attach your Pinballx.ini and log.txt files (after pressing the exit button). A screenshot of your VPX key/button config preferences may also be useful.

You are still running pinballx 2.83

Better is to upgrade it to latest before we can troubleshoot your issue

Best to update  PinballX, but it does look like you have button 8 mapped to Exit Game in VPX and to Select / Start table in PinballX (i assume button 8 is the button you use to exit a game?)

I'd remove the button mapping in VPX for exit game and then use the PinballX Exit Emulator and Quit button mappings to control table and vpx exit, but you'll need to review what each button does on your setup as a select/start button shouldn't also be an exit button.

So if I remove the exit button from VPX.  How do I get back to PInballX when the game ends?

PinballX will close VPX for you with the Exit Emulator button.

Thanks. I just upgraded to the latest version of PunballX.  No I have a bigger problem.  I get no backglass while in the menu.  Playfield is fine and games play fine when I launch them but my backglass is blank when I am in menu

 

Starting to get really frustrated here.  This was my last step in doing upgrades and how I have broken something.

Please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files. Also confirm you are using LAV codecs.

Files attached.  System really screwed up now.  It will not exit properly from PinballX to get back to Windows.  Cursor disappears.  Log indicates Flash.ocx is an issue but I cant delete it.  It says I dont have ADMIN priviledges but I only have one account on system and is is an Admin Account.

The update file I downloaded was PinballXnet6Setup

I download the LAV Codec and reinstalled PinballX several times with same result.  No backglass in Menu and Exit not working right.  It's like PinballX gets lost.  Very Frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Clean reboot and the only thing not working as expected is that I have no backglass video or image when PinballX menu is active and a few table audios not working when scrolling through the tables via the menu.

 Maybe the media files does not match ?

Nothing strange in your log.

Do you see matching media in gamelist manager or databasema ager ?

Don’t understand questions about matching media in game list manager.  When I run it is does not indicate backglass image missing.

I still see the PinballX load screen for a few seconds before the menu appears.  That may be normal.  Was hoping to go straight to menu but current operation is acceptable.

I think what you're seeing is the Exit screen rather than a loading screen.

One more setting to change!, set Enable Game Exit Images to No;
