tvguy
Hi there. Having some problems with the backglass sizing within pinballx. When scrolling through tables, the backglass image is too large. When running the table, the backglass image is sized perfectly within vpx. I've set the backglass size in pinballx display settings, yet this seems to have no impact at all. See attached pictures. One pic shows the backglass sized properly when vpx runs, and the other shows the oversized image when pinballx runs. My backglass monitor is 1920 x1080. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Mike_da_Spike
Can you attach your log file and settings file as well ? Looking at screenshots, it looks like you use the directb2s in the front end. Sizing looks fine, but your grill is shown. I prefer videos as backglass (if you record them via databasemanager/gamemanager) the size is fine Edit : thanks to another member of this site, he showed me that the pics are indeed zoomed and not be a hidden grill. Sorry for that.

tvguy
fyi, if you see the backglass dimensions set at 1366x768, i was experimenting. I've changed it back to 1920x1080. It doesn't matter what size I use, it doesn't change the image in the backglass, it's still zoomed in and doesn't size properly to the top monitor. scutters
Strange problem. From the ini file though it does show Mikes suspicion was correct, you are using the B2S backglass files in PinballX rather than videos/images. As you're having a problem i'd try turning that off first, in settings.exe go to Display Settings and set the 'Use Direct B2S in Front End' option to No. As a bonus if that fixes the issue you should also get smoother navigation in the front end. If it doesn't fix the problem can you post a screen shot of windows screen set up for the backglass
tvguy
Thanks scutters - if I turn off that option, it still loads images of backglass and videos or black screens and plain pinballx videos. Is there a way to completely disable anything from playing in the top screen and only have the menu on the playfield (until I run a table)? I'm really to the point where I just want my 2nd (top) monitor blank / black until I select a table. I thought disabling "use directb2s in front end" would disable the top monitor completely and just allow me to run the menu without images, videos, or backglass showing. Thanks! tvguy
Well, I'm officially an idiot. I've been using Display Fusion so I haven't paid attention to windows display settings. I enabled all four monitors and checked the settings for the monitor I was using for the backglass, and it was set to 150%. Switched it to 100% and all of the backglass images are displaying properly. Such an amateur mistake, my apologies for wasting your time, thanks for your help!
