Hi,

Just got through reading this thread on the issue of the front end skipping tables in the menu.

What was happening, was another controller (steering wheel) was emitting a constant button press that caused the "assigned" front end controller to skip.

You can replicate this action for yourself using any two connected controllers.  Press and hold any key on an "unassigned" controller while trying to navigate the menu.  It will skip randomly as if IT was being pressed and held.  This is an odd thing and simply resolved by unplugging or not touching any secondary controller.  That's fine (for most).

However, what if disconnecting controllers isn't what you want to do?  For instance, I have a guitar controller plugged into my system.  Much like the steering wheel, it too has a constant axis press causing the front end issue.  I'm not sure why one controller would affect another.  It could be an OS thing.  But since it seems to only be happening within the Pinballx menu, it might be worth taking a look at for any future updates.

Thanks for reading.  Cheers.

Input is input. If there are multiple controllers attached and one is sending input, then the active application that receives and translates the input (i.e. PinballX) is going to react in kind.

To add some additional input to draco:

PinballX will use all the controllers and uses the input as controller 1.

This is for people with multiple joysticks and remove and add them to windows.

So for example joy2 button2 will be used in pinballx as button2. All your joysticks button 2, will do the same actions as what is defined in pinballx button2 (although it says joy1).

And an example I had myself multiple time. When my grandkids are playing with y coin chute, one of the witch that will make contact when a coin is dropping,  will sometimes give a constant contact as the switch will not release it.

This causes in pinballx also a fast wheel rotation. Just un releasing the switch fix it for me (and yes, that took a couple of weeks to figure it out)

Also an extra device like my stream deck caused issues when I put it behind an usb hub. This was caused by my teensy controller that was also on the same hub. When activation the teensy driver (Dof), the stream deck did key presses a lot of times.

So a lot of things can happen with input device
