Hi everyone,

I recently had a cabinet/system designed and built for me by Ultimate Home Arcades here in Az and we're using GameEx Arcade Edition which I love.  I do however, want to create some custom menus and have done some looking here on the forum for advice, but if I'm reading things right, this is not doable or at least not as easily doable as it was in the first GameEx version.  Is this correct, or is there a way to create custom menus?

I love organization and would like to have the option of creating my own menus (i.e. one for pro wrestling games, or one for Street Fighter, or maybe menus for various game publishers such as  Capcom, or Konami, etc.)

Do we have the ability to do this and if so, can someone direct me as to how?  If it cannot be done, is this something Tom is considering for future updates?

Thanks for any help/answers.

GameEx Arcade Edition is derivative of GameEx and, as such, you will be limited in your ability to customize other than changing some fonts, system logos and background videos.

You have some good ideas, so please take the opportunity to submit a Feature Request with your wish list ideas!

So curious then. My son was just saying he'd like to do custom folders.

I run the arcade edition, but what is the difference in them all? I can't really tell. I'd rather have the version to support all emu's and controllers like the arcade edition can, but if the Evolution version can do more, I'd buy that too.

Evolution is quite a bit different in that it supports software lists, where none of the other editions currently do.   Emulator support is pretty specific support, however, and you can't just throw anything at it like GameEx.

As for what you're looking for, GameEx will most likely cover you best for now, but at the cost of some of the eye candy you get with GameEx Arcade Edition.
