Using Winamp through GameEx

Hi All,

Hoping someone would be able to tell me that they managed to get Winamp working through GameEx. I'm getting close to buiilding my cab soon, and I'd like to be able to set it up. The jukebox function doesn't seem to be quite what I'm looking for, and I love the visualizations in Winamp.

Is it do-able? Or is there any chance that it might be a feature in a future version of GameEx (a full blown MP3 player, rather than a juke).

Brilliant! I'm just a button masher, but I'd like the cab to be allowed into the house instead of relegated to the shed, or worse, the "guest room", and I reckon that this might swing it for me (""but, it's great for parties and stuff, you know, when we entertain our friends...").

here a program that will control winamp

it could be used on the app menu and use mouse emulation or mouse to control winamp

it dosnt load winamp up or close it though, I could make it do that if needed it uses on screen buttons to control winamp, very basic at the moment could make it better if required

any idea or thing that could do with oltering please msg me

Hi Michael,

your control application for Winamp is an interesting approach but in my eyes it's a must that the user is able to do do a free keyboard mapping with this application. Mouse control in an arcade cab ist not what we really want as everthing is controlled by a CP

i was thinking along the lines of making it so you can use the controler to navigate the controls kinda like the jukebox controls but obviously for winamp and select the required one eg play stop etc also has the visualization on

basicly its just a front end for winamp that will be more user friendly for a cab user
