I am having problems with getting my games to show up in the game list. I just installed Evo and get an error when trying to audit games. It says "an unhandled error has occurred in your application" I am thinking I might have a default path set incorrectly, but cant seem to see where I went wrong.

In the setup wizard there is a page that allows you to zip your logs to the desktop, please do so and provide the support files.

Sorry but I cannot find my Gameex.ini file. I don't seem to have a config folder even. Is it not supposed to be in the config folder?

8/27/2020 7:26:46 PM: MAME ROM Path 'C:\GameEx Evolution\UserData\Emulation\ROMs\mame\MAME' Doesn't Exist!

Check you games path, it doesn't seem to be pointing to the the folder that contains your MAME games set.

ok, looking at my default path for roms I have 'C:\GameEx Evolution\UserData\Emulation\Roms'

Inside the ROMS folder there is a folder named MAME that contains all of my roms.

In the launch list settings my rom path is this 'C:\GameEx Evolution\UserData\Emulation\Roms\Mame'

So why is Gameex EVO looking in  'C:\GameEx Evolution\UserData\Emulation\ROMs\mame\MAME' to audit games?

Where is the extra Mame folder in the path coming from. is there a way to edit the path the game audit looks in? Or do I just make a new folder in the Mame folder called mame and move the roms to that?

I just don't want to deviate too far from the default paths and cause issues later.

I have no idea where it came from, GameEx doesn't create these folders, it simply looks for the contents within the the folders you point the setup wizard to.

If it's incorrect for some reason then simply click on the folder icon next to that particular path in setup wizard and browse to the correct folder.

The default paths in the setup wizard are nothing more than suggested possibilities.

What's weird is that I have done that, but it won't save new path. I can get to the roms folder but I can't get the path to update in gameex. I had to manually type in the path for other default paths. Maybe time to uninstall evo and start over.
