[RESOLVED] GameEx Arcade showing ALL Mame games instead of those in the rom folder

I now have a list of 4000 games instead of my chosen 200 or so. Of course those games are not even available. Happened after an update to the latest version,

already checked for options in the config like "verify" and "onlyroms", setting both to true, but no luck.

Please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files whenever reporting an issue.

Also, we need to know your MAME version and if your ROMS match the version.

.220. Matching, but selected romset (just the roms I need. Merged, about 250 roms or so)

But this is not a Mame issue. The problem is that ALL mame games are now being displayed instead of just the ones that are in the actual rom folder...

Did you update?

<edit>  Draco's point is that if you had MAME .220 and a set from say .194 for instance, then it could be a problem.  There is also no option to not "Verify Roms" in GameEx AE, it may still show in the log files/config, but that is because it shares many similarities with the original GameEx.  It is not an option in the setup wizard, however.

I cannot exactly follow.

This is mame 220 with the latest gameex arcade. the used romset, which is a selection of 200+ games is also up to date.

Click Update List from the GameEx AE main menu.

This was how the problem actually came up. Thank you for looking at this!

Btw is there a way of setting letter jump via joystick?

Please let him get this fixed for you before asking for something else! That may be something best saved for another thread to keep Questions / issues and solutions separated.

You are right. Sorry!

Great! As of now I'm using Model 2 as it's own emulator to have access to command line.

Thank you for reacting so fast on this. It's very very much appreciated.
